Quoteschillid QuoteChristiaan Stones open up a playlist (again) But you have to play for it Not sure what you meant ... Pay for it or "play for it"? Play. You have to answer some questions (snippets of songlyrics). It's totally free...

Those early 60's songs could benefit from some fresh new paint. I'd prefer an album of modern studio versions of As Tears Go By, I can't be Satisfied, Mothers Little Helper and songs like that over a Blue & Lonesome part 2 any day..

Don't think so. I think they started filming in HD for homevideo purposes during the ABB tour. 2005-2006.. That's when HD became the new industry standard for home cinema and entertainment too. From that moment on, every release was available in Full HD.

So in ten years from now we will get a re-release of Grrr! on vinyl? Nice It's nice that those 3 'new' songs are available again, and digital for the first time. But that's the only 'pro' I can think of right now.

QuoteVoodooLounge13 I just hope that one song - might as well tell the truth or something like that - where Mick is playing the guitar makes the album. I absolutely LOVE that snippet and want to hear the whole thing!!! Yeah, I know what you mean. Catchy line that one..

I just started a one month trial for Tidal and i'm listening to Tattoo You Dolby Atmos right now on my headphones (since I don't have a Atmos set-up in my house). By far the best version of Tattoo you I've ever heard. Much more depth. Completely the opposite of those brick-walled universal versions we've had over the years. I can't wait to hear Mocambo later today.

of course it's fair enough. And I respect that. But if this would have happened some 20-30 years ago, we would have known it.

The Stones don't owe us anything, but on the other hand.. For decades, we as fans were used to the fact that every fart Mick or Keith let, it became a headline. Photographers lay behind every bush and journalist had te write Stones-related news on a weekly basis... But those days are long over. And now they hardly even write about the band or it's members anymore in magazines or news

The idea of live voting for a song was quite revolutionary during the BTB tour, They made it seem like you had a free choice, but of course that wasn't the case at all. It had been decided for a while which songs they would play. Later, when the technology was really ready, you could only choose from a handful of titles each show.

QuoteTaurocTony Quoteribbelchips ... It's a shame that there isn't a remix version of Emotional Rescue... False, where have you been the past year!? Online/Renting it: Apple Music Offline/Owning it: This topic is about remixes by other artists, right? Different takes on songs, by adding and/or removing instruments or complete parts of the songs. adding loops, samples... Someti

Yeah I know, but it's from the 'low-budget' 2003 series. Compressed sound, poor bass..No 180 grams vinyl.

I have a hate/love relationship with Stones remixes. Some of them are fantastic, others are pure crap in my opinion. I love the Miss You Dance version and I like the Mixed Emotions (12"version) and You Got me Rocking (Perfecto Mix) remixes. And I actually prefer the Jeff Bhasker mix of Doom & Gloom over the original single version.. It's a shame that there isn't a remix v

Quotetreaclefingers Quoteribbelchips I spend a fortune on recent ABKCO Anniversary releases, mono boxsets and RS day specials and the complete SHM collection, So I guess I'm not the target market indeed.. But GYYYO on 180 grams vinyl and a nicely restored cover?.. Take my Money!!! A re-release of the Singles Collection vinyl box would pretty neat too by the way... Let us not forget w

Amazing how he still can play guitar and sing at this level at 78 yo. This weekend he plays at the Holland International Blues festival half an hour drive from where I live. But me and my wife already had tickets for another festival by the time I found out John played here.

People leave bands.. especially when they don't like each other or disagree about the musical direction. Brian unfortunately died soon after, but Pete Best left the Beatles, Mick Taylor and Bill Wyman left the Stones, Clapton left the Yarbirds and Bluesbrakers. He probably wanted the start or join another group that suited his musical interests more. And I was thinking this psychedelic Ma

QuoteGasLightStreet That's essentially what I pointed out: since the reconfiguration there have been two deluxe reissues. As part of the original contract... probably no need to expand (IORR, B&B, ER and U deluxe reissues are probably not anything UMe has considered) because, although ER sold extremely well in its time at the top of the charts, it's not exactly a big seller over

My 'problem' with Indian Girl is that the song has very serious lyrics, but Jaggers sings half of the song in a nonchalant tone.. a little over-acted.

Aren't GHS and TY Deluxe just prove that they continue to re-release albums since the 2018 updated deal? Anyway, Emotional Rescue has grown on me since I didn't particularly like it the first couple of times I heard it. Now I have to mention that I was born just a year before it came out, So I heard it for the first time somewhere in the early nineties. Somewhere between Steel Wheel

Quotetreaclefingers Quoteribbelchips Hmm I was hoping for a reprint of this boxset. Maybe also on colored vinyl like the Abkco set, when I saw this thread was kicked.. It feels like this thing just finally sold out (is it even sold out?) but then I noticed it's been 5 years since it was released so there's hoping I guess. The difference with the MONO box is that you can buy the alb

Nice 'what if' scenario. And would the songs be the same as on the Deluxe edition bonusdiscs (finished outtakes) or recorded in the studio as if it were completely new tracks? 9 tracks is a little on the low side. Let's make it 12 I'd like to replace 'Dancing in the Light' and 'Pass the Wine' with 'Do you Think I really care? and 'Come to the

I agree. I bought the previous series of Japanese SHM compilation albums (Rewind, Time waits for no one, Made in the Shade ect) for half of the price too on Amazon. And I only played them once, in my car. I have the complete Universal 2009 boxset, but those compilation albums were missing back then. I have no need for that old wine in new boxes over and over and over again. I skipped the ABCKO

QuoteChristiaan I was visiting the stonesforum.nl always back in the days. And after Facebook came up I don’t visit it a lot now. I think besides it is usually all in Dutch/Nederlands, the site was even better than IORR. Easier to find all different topics. It (was) is more organisized by different kind of topics. It has a better lay out. But bv (Bjornulf) has his reason to hold on this lay out

It's the biggest RS forum yes. But fora in general aren't that populair anymore since facebook groups and the such (unfortunately). There was a pretty active Dutch RS forum (stonesforum.nl) on which I used to post a lot. But they started a FB group en 90% of the community moved there, so it's kinda dead now. I prefer the simplicity of fora over FB pages, I'm very glad that thi

I love those bonus discs. Some of the tracks are way better than the majority of ABB, DW and BTB. But yet, they're bonus discs and as far as i'm concerned some of these Deluxe editions are already out of print. (Damn I would love to have a Sticky Fingers or Exile Deluxe Vinyl boxset with bonus LP ) Of course the boys put out some loose tracks and rarities through the years, but w
