I spoke about money just as the mean to gross more than the insurance costs. Also, I did not compare this band to the music monsters. I solely wanted to outline that these « young » musical gods perform in residency. U2 did that in Vegas.

This song which I recently rediscovered, is to my opinion in the vein of She was Hot or She is so cold. But, but so much better. The opening riff and the drums of Charlie are pure Stones. For that reason I prefer the official to the outtake, though Mick voicing is clearer in the second. Anyway, that song blows me away. I dig the simplicity and spontaneity.

Residency might be an option to consider as it is the last one. The current cash machine artists do that. Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, Oasis (to some extent). They earn in 30 gigs what the Stones grossed in 120 gigs over a 1 year time period of time. That to say is they can cover the astronomic insurance costs by performing 3 x 3 shows ( NY, London, BA).

I listened yesterday to Undercover which I did not for years. I was stuck by that long-time ignored by me « All The Way Down ». WoW. It’s a pure gem. Basic Stones song but wow. Keith, Charlie and Bill do a great job. So is Mick. How can I missed that one for years. Thanks to this band.

Legacy ? It really lies when one dives into the Stones music. There were 3 periods, I think. Each period being determined by the way Keith sounds and evolves creativity wise. That being said, their legacy is when they were more than music, but a way of living or seing the world. That’s the sixties. But their longevity maintains this with high standard. Anyway, they will be remembered as the rival

I watched many vids on YouTube. There was one with the seller playing few chords of Rocks Off. The sound was exactly the record one. Lucky guys who could pay for this piece of history.

I have not found a post about this. I hope this is not irrelevant according to the IORR policy. If it is, my bad. I recently read an article on Billboard about the sale of their catalog by famous artists. Did the Stones enviseon that or did they rebuff that option ?

Yes. Keith says so. Which to me means 2027 given that he refers to 2026 in the same vid. Notice that he seems to smoke again.

Will we ever know the final word of this disband. Not sure. The same reason that prevails in 2025 could be the same for 2026. Charlie was the backbone. I rarely listen to HD, but when I listen to it I don’t feel a lot of involment by Keith. I guess his part in the opus will be minimalistic. That’s what it is. Let him lives his Life. And appear from time to time on a 20 minutes show with bluesmen.

À faithfull Stones fan. His videos are stunning. I have been following him for years. He knows his « Keith Richards » by each of his finger nails. Many thanks to him.

What Antoine wrote is the most conclusive explanation I read so far. Keith hasn’t been reasonable for most of his life to say the least. At the age of 82 he is entitled to be fully mature. He quit from alcool, smoking that allow us 10 more years of Touring. Bless him !

Mirror and Sun yesterday wrote that Keith did not want to commit for 4 monthes. Those tabloïds are usually not trustworthy.

Les Abattoirs 4 shows, which I attended, were the worst performance of this band I ever witnessed. Musically poor, setlists of low level. Keith was not in the shows (his baby died abruotlt). To be forgotten. Which I did.

When it’s over, it’s over. The stamina is gone. So nothing is to be expected musically from the band, in my opinion. I suppose Ron will reunite with Rod Stewart for a farewell tour sort of, Keith will perform live in theaters in the East Coast with Steve Jordan playing his Berry and blues riffs. The enigma is to me Mick. I noticed that just before entering the theater for the HD promo show, he ha

So it’s finally over. The challenge to set up a tour for 10 shows was too high for this unique band. It’s hard to reckon this, but it is what it is. They have entered the final stage of their lives. Honours at festivals, enjoying family life. Keith finds it enough to play 20 mns here and there at some blues theater. Mick enjoys travelling all over the world. Bless them. Something broke with the d

I still don’t foresee a show at the Stade de France (Paris) early June as it is booked for 3 consecutives shows end of May and 3 concerts mid-July. I still enclined for the Parc des Princes or Défense Arena.

Based on the tentative schedule to date, the band targets are 50,000 audience. To that respect, and considering the Stade de France (Paris) is full, the 3 possibilities would be : Parc des Princes (Paris) 50,000; Défense Arena (Paris) 40,000; or Marseille-Vélodrome (55,000). My humble opinion is that if 2 or 3 dates might be available at the Stade de France they would be booked for big numbers wh

Just read on a daily French newspapers that Stade de France announced that already 18 concerts are scheduled for 2026. Which means that no more events can be planned. In other words we cannot expect the Stones to perform there. Me personally I anticipate a Défense Arena show.

If 10M$ per show, that means an average ticket prive of 200$. No way for France, Italy, Spain, Belgium. So it would be only London, Germany, Netherlands and Switzerland.

The logic is to smooth out the stage, crew and transportation costs heavily and decrease severely insurance costs as well. Even if they aren’t Taylor Swift, Oasis or Coldplay, my assumption is that they can earn 5 M$ per show in average, this will draw 50 M$ in revenue. And get a decent amount of $ all expensed deducted. My guess is that the new album and other catalogue will drive the bulk.

Sometimes the numbers are important. The Stones have enough money ( MJ & KR valued at 150 M£ each according to some sources). A 10 dates tour spanning over 2 1/2 monthes, should attract based upon last european tour: 500,000 people and Gross roughly 87 MUSD. Given these, i don’t know if they break even. That leads me to think we might get indoors venue of 25,000 people to the exception of Lon

QuoteWelshEdge1 QuoteTopi Over in France, radio DJ Francis Zégut posted a rumor of the Stones doing Stade de France in "early June". The venue is free the first weekend of June. Also, a certain luxury hotel in Paris has the entire property blocked out for bookings during a few dates around that weekend. This would be perfect timing for me. Exciting! Zegut is a highly reliable so

Quoteslewan Quotephd27 Would be great if the Stones perform in France one date. Actually I don’t think they can fill up Stade de France. Too big for them by now. Marseille (Vélodrome) with 60 000 people would fit better. if they do only one show in France it will be Paris (where else?) If Paris is a must, the U2Arena (40 000 people) would suit better, I think.

I will be interested to compare Oasis performances to Coldplay in North America. The latter grossed in 2025 an audience of 1.8 million with 222 millions$ on 34 shows.

Quotecyclist Quotephd27 I hope we get a new album by the end of the year. I don’t know if Keith is still interesting with the writing of new songs. I doubt it. As for the tour, I would not count on it. Will they spend one month rehearsal for 6 shows in Europe or in the US ? And the logistics will cost way too much. Very skeptical. See you in the pit. Would be great. But in Paris - Stade de Fr
