I don’t know where videojames got his info but I worked at the BBC from 1987 and Knebworth was virtually the first thing I looked for in the archives. There was only ever the under an hour footage, they never shot the whole show.

Did anyone notice that the great synch job was different footage to the original silent clips? (Mick has his jacket on). So where did the extra footage come from and is there any more of it?

I noticed him trying to haul somebody offstage circa '65 and on the stage at Hyde Park but yeah, no mention. There were quite a few omissions though such as the years 1982 to 2012...

I would go even further than His Majesty: it is not just my favourite Stones album, it is my favourite album of all time. It is a portal to lysergic nirvana, yes even including See What Happens, in fact especially See What Happens. Child Of The Moon didn't come later actually Blue, it was worked on during the SM sessions (see volume 1 disc 2 of the Satanic Sessions)

Exactly treacle: I'd say Talk Is Cheap is the best solo Stones album but that Wandering Spirit is superior to Main Offender.

Wow, it was far better than I expected. They are sounding explosive, so tight & powerful. Very kinetic energetic performance & they look great, (just on the cusp between youth & dissipation). How can something this amazing just be left unseen for 33 years???

I don't think the footage is anything to do with 'Dandelion'. It did surface a few years ago on a Channel 4 doc called 'Mick's Girls' actually. (2004)

All of the first two albums & Livin' On & May the Circle Remain Unbroken from the third. You're Gonna Miss Me has to be in the all time top 10 singles too!

Yeah, the first three albums are all great, Forever Changes being the crowning glory. Great singles too including Laughing Stock, not on the original albums. Some very good tracks on Four Sail & even Out Here. A minor return to form in '93 with Five String Serenade.

A very underrated album. Up there with Wandering Spirit in my book. I agree with Monkeytonkman about God Gave Me Everything, it makes your blood pulse like a gorilla on heat. I really like Joy too & Gun & also the hypnotic vibe of Godess.

'The Offence' was excellent but even better I think was 'The Hill' also starring Connery. 'Running On Empty' was powerful too.

Granted, his late 80's mini tour was pretty bad and we don't have much else to go on, but what about the one off show in NYC to promote Wandering Spirit. That was great!

The writing isn't poor, it's fabulous: expressive, evocative, dynamic, sharp, funny & authentically Keith. It's rhythmic, I can almost hear the beat as I read it. Keith may use a lot of slang, abbreviations, colourful expressions etc but this adds to the richness. It doesn't mean it isn't articulate. I haven't read Clapton's book but I bet it's stuffy an

@#$%& Blues would be nice but no doubt it will be something cheesy like The Last Time (the song isn't cheesy but playing it just because it would be the last time is, if you know what I mean)

Travelling Man dates from 1969 so it shouldn't be released on a 1973 era disc. Having said that Aladdin Story & Dancing In The Light also date from 1969 but were on the Exile release so who knows... I think Title 5 is fantastic by the way, the most enjoyable track on the outtakes disc!

Lydon was relentless in slagging the Stones off for years, well into his PIL days. Most of the criticisms as I recall revolved around them being too old, too rich & greedy, irrelevant, living in America, being beyond their sell-by date & churning out the same old thing. Funny how your comments can come back and bite you on the arse isn't it: all true about the butter-pimp now but wit
