Hyde Park has a strict curfew of 10.30pm. Remember the fiasco with Macca and Bruce Springsteen few years ago. Leave the venue at 1030pm and a few mins to get out of the park and the walk to Paddington Station so you should easily get there at 11pm.

I only knew a couple of songs in advance from "born to run". I was only 16 and would and see pretty much everything at that venue. When I see Bruce live now, I always think he looks better than when he played Hammersmith Odeon in 1975.

I have seen over 7000 gigs since 1973...most in the London area. Here are 20 acts who I have seen over 20 times each. The Rolling Stones ( first time was four of the six Earls Court shows) AC/DC (seen them with all three different vocalists) Queen (seen them with all three different vocalists) The Sex Pistols ( seen them with both Glen and Sid) The Clash The Damned Prince David Bowie U

19 July 1995 - 25 years ago today i attended this mega gig. THE ROLLING STONES at Brixton Academy to just 5000 loyal fans. Me and a workmate took the morning off work the day before the show to queue up for two hours at Virgin Megastore to pay £25 for our prized wristbands. A stunning 2 hours 10 mins show where we were just a few feet away from the stage. It was a week after i had seen them w

Ronnie mentioned a display of 60 of his paintings & drawings. 20 to 27 August 2020 at Ashridge House, Berkhampstead, Herfordshire. I think Ronnie has a country house in the area and he bought a house for Sally's parents a mile away from him.

You gotta admire folks making long treks see The Stones. Even now they must have the best travelling fans. I did not have a cheque account in 1976 as aged 16 and had to send Postal Orders. Remember Postal Orders? Promoter Harvey Goldsmith would come on tv and say there were over 250,000 applications for tickets...and there were sacks of mail behind him. Those magical words "please allow

21 May 1976 Earls Court Arena It was 44 years ago this week that I saw The Rolling Stones for the first time. I went to four of the six shows and get down the front twice to get a bit wet when Mick threw a bucket of water over the crowd. Anyone else have memories of it? I still see The Stones at least once on every tour since. I lived in Shepherds Bush, West London so got to many great shows

I have been to over 7000 gigs since 1973. Ever since I saw The Stones four times at their Earls Court shows in 1970s, they have been a band that have created and delivered a great live show. They may be getting older but they still deliver live...big time. www.raysgigs.com

Glen Matlock played with The Faces several years ago when they reformed with Mick Hucknall on vocals but I presume Rod will get his tour bassist in from his own backing band.

Lots of talk regards possible special guests at Shepherds Bush. Will Rod Stewart or Mick Jagger turn up to support Ronnie? Rod and Mick never seem to be in the same room together. Rod turns up at some Ronnie things and Mick turns up at some Ronnie things. I cannot remember seeing Rod Stewart at any Stones shows. Is there some egos involved there do you reckon? Can anyone recall when they ev

There were some small adverts in the press that had a picture with Ronnie. This could easily be used for a poster to buy inside at the show. No full size posters seen anywhere and I live West London.

There is no seating in the stalls standing area. Only a couple of places either side of the bar for wheelchairs and careers. There are three levels of seating...with Level 1 having the best view.

I am a regular at this venue so please any me any questions. Stalls standing can get uncomfortably rammed when it is a sold out show. Level 1 seating is where the best seats and vip guests will be. Level 2 and 3 seating at a higher angle but still a very decent view as 2000 theatre capacity. For the seating areas the crowd will stand up if it's a lively show.

I wouldn't feel too sorry for Richard Ashcroft. I saw him play at The Forum, London in Dec 2018 and 'Bittersweet Sympathy' was the final song played and it was a superb extended version. It is still a highlight of his career. Also bear in mind the album in came from 'Urban Hymns' has sold over 3 million copies in the UK....more than any Stones album in the UK....

Tickets outside the venue for both London Stadium shows were selling for well below face value. I saw some being sold for £20 and £30 quid on Tuesday so I went back on Friday and got a good one for only £20. I was surprised how full it was inside the stadium. Just too many spare tickets on the day I suppose. Touts were buying offering to buy spare tickets for just £10 and £20. A couple of
