The Stones seem to pump out their logo on all kinds of merch. Christmas time is high season but I find especially when there is a lull without tours or music the most random merchandising lines appear. Summer clothing lines/ drinkware/ baseball clothing etc. You almost think it's KISS promoting the Stones. There's a rock n roll lifestyle and then it becomes trinckets and a cash grab.

I remember the promotion for the original in an IMAX theatre in Montreal back in the day. Saw it at Ontario Place with a full crowd then many years later at the Science Centre in Toronto. It's a great era frozen in time. The Stones larger then life on the big screen.

I think some of it has to do with the time zones. The shows in the east seem to generate a lot of buzz and live reports and photos etc. I thought there would have been more songs from the new album played live but the Stones have a formula that they don't deviate from other than Keith playing three songs that no one would have predicted going into the start of the tour.

For me it's the side screens. The shape of them seems off with the border and cladding. I do like the openness of the tongue and it's silhouette. The stage does come to life at night. Maybe they will adjust the sides for other legs of the tour.
