QuoteSpud Quoteadotulipson Alas no,1st concert was Wembley Empire Pool Sept 73 The '73 tour was my "baptism" too ... Manchester in my case. I was 13 and it was pretty much the first time I'd been allowed to stray so far from home on my own . One of the most wonderful memories from my youth. I remember a Spud from my secondary school, a couple of years older than m

Fortune Teller is also on The Rolling Stones Story - Part 2 (The Rest Of The Best) which is a four LP box set from 1983/1984. Not sure which version it is though.

This was odeon73's first Stones show I seem to remember. He hasn't posted in a while, I hope he is ok and downloads this if it is a good upgrade.

I can't believe I hesitated in buying this one. I had the bootleg version on CD-R from a trade years ago and the Totally Stripped DVD box set. It really is great show and time for Brixton and the Paradiso shows to be released on CD too.

Always loved this album but I know a lot of people on this board don't. I thought it was a good solid album from a bunch of 'has-beens' when it came out. Going to give it a spin later. Happy Birthday Undercover.

I think I am in the minority here but there are no Rolling Stones songs that I have ever disliked or skipped when listening to their albums.

QuoteDoxa Oh no. This is so sad to hear. Yeah, there probably aren't any poster here that could drive me more nuts, or I could have not disagreed more with in regard to almost anything - and for years we did best to ignore each other's posts - but I feel really down now. He like belonged to the constitution of this site. Actually when he stopped posting it felt odd because I, like I

Quotedoitywoik Roger Waters's Dark Side Of The Moon Redux is out now, his version of a (primarily) Gilmour-less DSOTM ... Has anyone already had a chance to listen to the whole thing? No and I am not in the slightest interested in this release.

I had the pleasure of meeting Bernie at the Concert for George in 2002. He took the time to have a chat with me and my friend for about 5 minutes after the show. He seemed both impressed and grateful that I had seen him in Whitesnake 20 years earlier. I think he told us that he had played with Ringo Starr in the past and when the audience threw jelly babies on stage during Ringo's set h

I saw The Cavern Beatles a couple of years ago and 'Paul' played left handed all evening apart from his solo spot when he played Yesterday on acoustic. Met Paul in the bar afterwards and he told me he was right handed but had to adapt to play left handed.

Did Acid Queen have Roger on lead vocal. I think he does a much better job than Pete, like in 1975/1976. I wonder if Acid Queen was added to the setlist as a tribute to Tina Turner. I would like to think so.

QuoteNikkei There's this argument that "he never just admits he does it" yet when I was at The Wall in 2011 he announced that he was going to "duet" with a recording of himself from 1980. Obviously these folks want him to come out with "my live shows are not actually live" as if anyone would ever do that but basically he was way ahead of them =) This was only

I was really saddened by the news. Tina really was the Queen of Rock n Roll but her voice could cope with many styles - rock, blues, soul, gospel - she had it all. What an artist, singer and performer. One of a kind and there will never be another. RIP Tina.

Lindsey Buckingham's tribute “Christine McVie’s sudden passing is profoundly heartbreaking. Not only were she and I part of the magical family of Fleetwood Mac, to me Christine was a musical comrade, a friend, a soul mate, a sister. For over four decades, we helped each other create a beautiful body of work and a lasting legacy that continues to resonate today. I feel very lucky to have k

I was at The O2 in 2013 when she rejoined the band for the encore (Don't Stop) which was a really great moment. Really glad I got to see the classic line up for a full show in 2015 where the final song was Songbird. RIP Christine - thank you for the music.
