Just picking up on the 'what difference will it make to sales if no foreigners arrive'? Well as someone who always buys 'down the front' it is always amazing the number of foreigners in attendance regardless of which continent the concert is in. At Stratford there was a huge crowd from Argentina plus endless Dutch etc etc. So it could be the 'silly money' tickets

Not used a DVD player for a long time so my advice might be out of date as may be the website! I used to 'region free' all of my players and those of friends by accessing the codes off this site...

The album that drives me mad re sound quality is the UK 'Out of our Heads'. Great playing but unbearable sound quality. Have tried all sorts from my original Decca LP on high end hi-fi through cassette, CD and a later vinyl reissue. Not the end of the world!! The Stones then delivered the unbelievably perfect recording of 'Aftermath'!!! A vinyl 'reference' mate

Well if you want Keef to play with someone just call up Mick Taylor!

Oh dear!! Not for me. (However I am still very much enjoying the version by ukulele orchestra of GREAT Britain on youtube. They take a serious piece of work seriously. 2 of the players deserve medals once they get right into it!).

I am inclined to think that the 'BJ on JJF in Holland' is quite simply the Circus, (probably on someone's telly in the Netherlands!!), in which BJ's contribution was fantastic. He certainly added the 'roll' that Keef often goes on about!

Just put your 45RPM of 'I Wanna Be Your Man' on your high end vinyl Hi-Fi and get overwhelmed by Bill's bass playing!!! Loads of other examples on vinyl. Aftermath!!!! (What a MASSIVELY important contribution to the Stones!). Great bands build upwards or outwards from a great rhythm section! ....and the rest became history in this instance!!

Now this is becoming a great post!!! Firstly 'our' Bill is a far greater person than any of our 'german royal family'. (Despite that comment I am in fact a truly Devout Royalist!). The criticism of Andrew is the fakest of all fake news that MSM feeds to the most gullible of the gullible! Thank you CoolTP for pointing me to the Blondie post!! Wow! A great read. Mostly hil

This is the first time that I have seen a thread on this great website degenerate so rapidly into utter nonsense!

I picked up the Brussels Affair bootleg CD in a big store in Madrid many years ago. Got it home and was truly staggered by the guitar work on the first 2 tracks. Have played them thousands of times!! When the official release was announced I got excited BUT unfortunately it doesn't sound right to my ears!! I can't explain wh...... but I am sticking with my old bootleg version!

For vinyl audiophiles there is one clear winner for sheer sound quality. Aftermath. Obviously hunt out a proper original vinyl version, ie pre digital rubbish!!

Birmingham (UK) 1973 2nd Show. What a stunning 'live' period was The Taylor Years. The only downside being the occasional use of a wah wah pedal which sends me straight to MUTE!!!! (Wow!! I have really enjoyed reading this thread. Thanks all).

The clarity of the official release is good but the 'mix' on the original bootleg is far better in my opinion. So much so that I find the official release a bit irritating. For me the boot 'Gimme Shelter is their finest live moment. Incredible guitar weaving! Go find the original!!

Sounds like a great night in prospect! Sure am looking forward to it. Normally if I go to a London pub I take my own food in my pocket to avoid getting poisoned!!! However The Hope & Anchor has a 5/5 Official Food Hygeine rating, (as at 3rd August 2017). I will certainly be tucking into their grub afore the much anticipated performance of the 21st!

Travel from Stratford / Olympic is so easy on Central Line taking you right back through the City and into the West End which is where I would be wanting to stay if looking for a hotel. (Twickenham is not as easy!).

Hi Folks. Was in the Golden Circle for Paris #3 and was very pleased. Will probably go for Pit in London. What is the difference between A and B? Is it left / right of Mick's ramp?

Wow! Just back @ hotel. Had Fosse Or ticket. So much better than the 116 block seat that I had last week. Sound great down on floor. Great performance. Great set list. Street Fightin' Man my highlight.

RER back to Les Halles and beyond for me was excellent. I was in Block 118 and the sound was awful in terms of the sound coming back from rear...particularly the drums. My guess is that sound would be OK down front central. I really don't mind the odd bum note.

The Captain is over from London consuming pre concert beers up by Gare du Nord. Have carried out proper planning this time after being unable to find Stade de France and missing start some years ago. Have never admitted that before! Bring on Street Fightin' Man. That's what I'm here for! Hope to meet some IORRs after show. (Thanks as always to Bjornulf for an incredible site).

I know that the title is pre Aftermath but there is some Aftermath chat in here. I grew up as a kid from Stones 1st album. Route 66, Walkin The Dog, Mona and Can I Get A Witness. Don't overlook the wonderful Wyman bass playing on so much of the early stuff particularly I Wanna Be Your Man. I have bought several releases of Out Of Our Heads and struggle with the recording quality. On the

Although all publicity is normally good I think that this bit is neg for him. It gives off a subliminal message! I remember in the early days of Genesis John Peel quipped "I can think of nothing more hellish than a singing drummer"!!

England! It is just a question about the quality of the studio recording, (or quality of pressings), of the tracks selected for the UK pressings.
