A few early copies have been released and it seems a few people have put them up for download...a quick Google search will bring it up.

QuoteRollingFreak Funny you mention this song. This is my all time personal favorite Beach Boys song. Fun, meaningless and rocking. Always loved any incarnation, but the Beach Boys In Concert version is the holy grail for me. Can't tell you how many times I've played that. Just one of those songs that I personally love and always feel I'm the only one (and am damn proud of it). Mak

QuoteClaire_M I would've liked to hear that lost classic "Don't Worry, Bill" They just announced a UK date (I'm sure more to come since they have a whole month that's wide open before it) they'll be adding even deeper cuts there. I have a feeling they'll be getting more SMiLE stuff over there. Come on...we Americans can take the highbrow stuff too!

QuoteClaire_M Justin, have you heard in the pre-show music a version of the Zombies "Time of the Season" with Carl Wilson singing lead on the verses & Colin Blunstone's vocal on the chorus? Evidently it's a new mix that someone has done - I suspect Darian Sahanaja; he's worked with the BB's (obviously) and the Zombies. I'm beginning to think it was an elabor

QuoteJah Paul One of the coolest moments was when Brian was introducing "California Saga: California" and said, "I'm just going to sing the first line like I did on the record, then everybody else will do the rest." And boy did he sing that first line ( "On my way to sunny Cal-i-forn-I-A" ), clapping in time and everything. Then Al took over the lead vocal and

Quotetatters Still undecided about whether or not I want to see this tour. Can't really take the sight of Brian propped up at the piano with his arms hanging limp at his sides, not even pretending to play. You won't see too much of that Brian on this tour. With most of the lead work taken over by Mike, Brian is free now to focus on playing the keyboards and doing backgroudn vocals.

Here's another clip from a year later...better shots of Scott. Is it me or is he quoting a little Fogerty in that solo? Specifically at 3:26...what is that? A part of the solo from "Born On The Bayou"?

Quoteloog droog I originally bought "Carl and the Passions, So Tough" because KRLA (back during their early '70's "Future Rock" format, in which they had their own singular alternative universe playlist that programmed songs no one else did) played "He Come Down" every night like it was a hit single... The white gospel sound reminds me of "Shine

QuoteJah Paul Been a Beach Boys fan forever and never heard that before, but it's interesting to listen to the track in that context. Always enjoyed this tune over the years, and will look forward to hearing it this Saturday at the Hollywood Bowl! One Stones connection for sure...Blondie sings on the studio version! Also, I think this was the only BB song to feature Blondie, Ricky Fataa

Funny thing happened... So I've been attending a bunch of Beach Boys shows lately and a song they've been playing at all the shows is a cut from their 1972 sleeper/cult album, "Carl and the Passions -- So Tough" a song named "Marcella." I never really cared for the song before but after hearing it live--I fell in love. One of those things where you hear it live

Fingers crossed it's something very special and not just a re-release although these are still up for release: St. Louis 97 Paris 2003 Twickenham 2003 Austin 2005 Something like this would hit the spot tho: Double Door '97 Shepherds Bush '99 Saitama 06 Another '95 club show If St Louis is next I just pray that it's a great mix. QuoteStonedRambler Quotemicha063 QuoteStonedRambler Watching this and then Havana Moon is a night and day difference. 4 years later Mick is performing so much more relaxed and elegant that you feel like he got younger. In 2012 he seemed really old, singing and moving with a lot of tension. Yes. And it's natural. In 2012 they had to proove themselves and from 2013 they were rolling again.

QuoteTheBluesHadaBaby A Beautiful Time, the album he releaaed on his 89th b-day last year, is excellent. Just one song on it, Energy Follows Thought, misfires. The rest is amazing coming out of somebody his age. It serves as a good example for the Stones! This can be done. It's easy especially the way Willie does it: his producer friend Buddy Canon gathers the tunes, arranges them and r

Throwing all of the new tracks with Charlie on some anthology would be one big middle finger. If they do that they're chumps.

QuoteIrix 'Happy' from GRRR Live! : - (available 2-Dec-2022, 0:00am) - Audio: . That sounds real good. Very nice vocals by Keith especially considering the period. Tempo a little slower too, signs of the band still getting out of the previous 5 year hiatus.

Wasn't half of this period the fallout from Life? This was a smaller scale "WWIII" of the 80's, the unthawing in 2012 was sort of felt throughout the band.

QuoteJumpingKentFlash I I like that many of these shows are getting released, but they could mix it up a little couldn’t they? I mean, RPM Club, Toad’s Place, Double Door, Mogador, Trabendo, Horseshoe Tavern etc. Why not release a box of those shows? Not full shows, but parts of them. The secret gigs were going on for many years. I bet they filmed all of them. Right. All this seems to be low ha

QuoteCaptainchaos QuoteHairball Quote24FPS QuoteCaptainchaos I’d prefer staples, for more Taylor but any Taylor is great I was there. Yeah, Midnight Rambler was good, but it wasn't a great show. I believe Captainchaos was referring to Staples II on May 20, 2013 which was far superior to the first show on May 3 where they were still a bit cautious/tentative/rusty as it was the first major

I was just wondering why we haven't seen any more recent releases lately. I'll get this but it's not one of my favorite shows. They were a little stilted that night. Wish they would release something from no filter.
