Love this track, sounds like it could be from Some Girls. 80 year old punk rockers, what an eclectic band the Stones are and how lucky are we that they’re still around and creating gems like this one.

Got to say I really wasn't expecting this to be so good. I am delighted with early listenings. There wasn't a single track that I thought "oh dear this one is pretty bad". There are some really catchy sing along choruses (something I think Jagger does much better than verses as time has gone on ie over the last 40 years!). I can understand some of the scepticism as peop

Version wise Satisfaction peaked on th 1969 tour.Even with questionable guitar tuning and sloppy playing the Hyde Park 69 version was fantastic. I still love it but its never been as good as back then imo.

Just watched Brian Jones and the Rolling Stones on BBC iPlayer. I am curious about the part where Bill seems hesitant to talk too much about Brian's collaboration with Jim Hendrix. He seems to look off camera to someone for advice on what he should or shouldn't say. Could be nothing much in it at all of course but seemed a bit odd. It's a very revealing doc with some fantastic

The jump in BPM from 71 to 72 is really noticeable. Don't mind live tracks a bit faster than the studio versions but imo they definitely lose something when sped up this much.

Would be cool to see the best bits from RnR Circus, One pus One, Stones in the Park and Gimme Shelter all in one neatly edited movie. Of course Gimme shelter is in a league of its own from those 4 but there are some great bits in the other 3. Off the top of my head YCAGWYW and PW from RnR, the woo woo bit from One plus One, Satisfaction (out of tune guitars n all) from Stones in the Park are just

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteIggyrichards Awesome pic's. The Stones just starting to hit their "live" peak. Ya's Ya's rambler is fantastic but for me nothing touches the Brussels version This one? As awesome as it is, I get why people (might) prefer the GYYYO! version. I've never heard a bad version of MR. MR certainly evolved between 1969 and 1973. And it&#

Great pics. Found the black n white ones more interesting. The one with the girl "levitating" is fantastic, perfect timing from the photographer.

Was lucky enough to catch him at the George Robey in Finsbury Park in late 1990 I think or maybe early '91. Incredibly energetic fantastic performance. Brought the house down with a scintillating version of 'Milk and Alcohol'. Great gig and fantastic times in a much missed London venue. RIP Wilko

Would be cool if Keith surprised us in the next tour by perhaps adding a couple of covers to his song choices from some of his heroes/friends. Just to change things up a bit. Was thinking something from or linked to Gram Parsons for example "6 Days On the Road". I love YGTS, BTMMR etc and even the intro on Connection at Anfield didn't impact on how good it sounded and how great it

Can we just start a single thread where all hyper critical stuff can be posted in the one place so we just have one thread to avoid instead of sifting thru crap on most threads. Honestly I wonder if some people actually like the Stones anymore. The guys are in their late 70s - we should be grateful we're getting the chance to see them at all. If you don't enjoy it just don't go

I wouldn't mind if they cut Miss You or Start Me Up but I would need therapy if they cut Rambler. For me it's the quintessential Stones live song.

Speedy recovery to Mick and anyone else in the band, crew etc who also test positive. Gutted for anyone who had travelled and hope you can all make the rearranged show when it happens.

I wouldn’t mind them doing a harder Beatles track like Helter Skelter. Despite it forever being tied the the TLB murders it’s still a great song and as Bono put it well many years ago “it’s time to claim it back from Manson”.

I think getting older, more famous, less connected to society, must have an impact. Hard to be angry, nasty, naughty, rebellious when you're 40+ and part of the music establishment. Anything remotely rebellious from Undercover onwards always felt a little contrived, like they were viewing events and headlines from a long safe distance. Unlike 68-72 when they were more a part of the events a

When I compare a band like the Who to the Stones I always think of Keith's comment about the importance of the roll in rock 'n' roll. Some bands seem to rely more on power, volume, distortion etc whereas with the Stones the groove is at least as important as all those elements. I like the Who and have seen them a couple of times and they're very good but they're defin
