Of course the corollary between antibody levels and level of immunity isn't clear yet, but it's enough to make me recommend that anybody eligible for a third shot should get it if they can.

Very sad news. I enjoyed her Periscope feeds, as did so many others here.

QuoteMingSubu Quotedmay Am curious. How does Jack White have all phone pouches unlock immediately after the show ends? On another note, why don't the performers just ask folks to put their phones away and flick their Bics at the end of the show? Am sure many here flicked a Bic more than once in their time. As you leave the venue, they swipe the pouch over a magnet. And it literally just

I've been to multiple Jack White shows, and he has people put their phones in a pouch which is then locked--they keep it with them, and it's then unlocked in one second after the show (a lot of comedians do this too)--and the difference is unreal. Everybody is totally in the moment instead of looking at it through a screen, the artists aren't looking into the crowd and just seeing

Side note--Emma and Leylah were both at the Met Gala tonight, along with several other players. Venus looked pretty amazing!

QuoteDGA35 Congrats to Emma, I think Leylah was just too tired from her 4 previous games beating all the top players in 3 sets. Her serving was poor today and was a big contributor to her loss. Emma is actually born in Toronto and Leylah in Montreal so in a way 2 Canadians in the finals. Hey Captain Teague, who are you referring to about the British player? I don't follow tennis too mu

The only player ever to come through the qualifying rounds and go on to win a title in a Grand Slam tournament. Well done to both her and her opponent Leylah Fernandez of Canada.

Scarily slow-moving. Was supposed to reach us this evening, now not until tomorrow afternoon (though with luck we'll only be on the outer bands).

I'm in the northern part of the state and so far our forecast is for tropical storm force winds and 2 - 4 inches of rain--can't imagine how scary it must be to be in the New Orleans area. And on the anniversary of Katrina.

QuoteEddieByword I've always understood it to mean the leftovers in a garment factory which are then used, as wanted/needed, as rags to clean surfaces etc.......... This is what came up when I googled Schmatta........... "The term “schmatta” (also spelled shmatta, shmate, schmatte, schmattah or shmatteh) is a Yiddish word that typically is defined as a rag or ragged piece of cloth

I was listening to Big Hits tonight (High Tide and Green Grass--I completely missed the puns until now . . . ), and reading Oldham's blurb-- "The drums were always Charlie Watts." Yes, I know they were occasionally Jimmy Miller, etc., but in every way that mattered, the drums were always Charlie.

A couple of years ago I saw Paul Simon, and he brought out Don to sing Bye Bye Love, and I thought "this is the closest I'm ever going to get to hearing the Everly Brothers." So thankful for that experience, yet again. RIP Don.

Mostly shots of the band but the few that showed the audience it didn’t look like many had Kotex’s stuck to their face. Glad you're getting it soon. I'm lucky in that I have daily pills rather than infusions, so I don't have the timing issue.
