Regardless of whatever new recordings were done ie post HD sessions it appears that they have finished off the leftover tracks from the 2022 Henson sessions. The two Charlie tracks were done in January and February 2019 at Henson along with Living In A Ghost Town. Obviously there were more than those three tracks recorded then that provide additional Charlie tracks on the new album. Whate

QuoteHTD I understood that there were technical problems with the quality of the Knebworth recording in places that prevented an official release. That's why all the bootleg soundboard releases were incomplete. Is this the case or does a quality master tape exist? Any thoughts? I wonder if there's the possibility a deluxe "Love You Live." having heard the tracks tha

In 1994 The Rolling Stones paid $300 thousand for 3 days rental of the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans. 32k paid to see them, of approximately 65k available. The Stones made just over a million dollars so it paid off, barely. It was a bust. No surprise they didn't return to New Orleans until 2019 on the HONK tour or whatever, NO FILTER, a silly name for a predictable set list, e

Quotegeorgelicks QuoteGlimmerest Quotegeorgelicks Keith's work on the album is finished, he's back in New York and went to the Tribeca Film Festival yesterday. Mick and Ronnie are still in London with Andrew Watt, completing the final overdubs. They'll probably finish everything in a few days, and the album will go into final mixing, which will be finished by the end of June.

Nobody knows anything so no one can say anything. If it's just two extra songs - they know no one will bother. If KEBWORTH is included perhaps it will sell in line with what they think, which is probably only about 250,000. Which is beyond extremely weak for Rolling Stones fans' numbers - where are they: Dying. Or not caring. Too late to make the money like The Beatles

Quotefelipe1993 This article from Independent covers everything that has already been said here about the new album, but it also says "the Rolling Stones are reportedly planning to announce UK shows in the coming weeks, after issues over venue and travel options were resolved". Does anyone know if there is any truth about that or if it's old news about the cancelled summer tour

However, the best live version I've heard is the one from Stripped. That is fantastic. Except for 1994 it's a song they've always played fantastically. Arguably with myself my favorite live version is the MSG 2003 one, which i

QuoteHardRiffin Are we sure that "Built That Way" comes from BaB sessions? I don't like it at all, but other than that i don't feel like it has the sound and style of that album. What do you think about It? It's definitely from the BAB sessions. I'm gonna guess you don't like it because it sounds like the over cooked Wagon Wheel.

Quoteliddas There is not one single note that Ronnie played with the Stones that I don't love, so this 20 song comp is impossible for me. I'll start listing the first 10 that come to mind. Studio only. 1) IORR - The first. Keith redid everything save the acoustic. The acoustic is essential Ronnie strumming. 2) Negrita. The fantastic riff, and the even more fantastic bridge.

QuoteBig Al Although capable of compiling a top-20 post-'74 list of favourite Rolling Stones recordings, I do not believe I can muster-up a list of the top-20 'Ronnie contributions' Is that what is required, here? It's not about any previous guitarists in The Rolling Stones. There's plenty to choose from. Before They Make Me Run - Ronnie's pedal steel is excellent.

Quotededospegajosos I think we are reading too much into this album, the happy fans and the disappointed.. For some it's the enjoyment of having a new studio album. Partially, possibly, because it's the first original LP since 2005. Think of 1978 and 1980. Very short time between LPs, in the UK an anthology was released in 1979... LOVE YOU LIVE was 1977 just off the 1976 tour

QuoteDandelionPowdermanIs he on Tie You Up? I thought the rhythm guitar was Mick. Wayne Perkins on Hand Of Fate, but Ronnie did good live versions in 1976/77. Crap. Ronnie's not on Hand Of Fate except for backing vocals and that is not worthy. Not sure why I thought he was. Another edit on the way. Ronnie is on Tie You Up on rhythm guitar, the solo and bass. Perhaps Mick was on

Quoterollmops I like your list Gaslightstreet. I am a Ronnie's fan too. I would add "Black Limousine" from Tattoo You. A little masterpiece by Woody; his credits are all over it and the rest of the Stones do an amazing job on it. I thought about that. Probably the better choice considering his slide playing.

Quotematxil If we forget for a bit about what Stones-fans think of their old and new albums, a sterile debate that has filled many pages, we could think about what people who don't particularly like the Stones think. The last time the Stones really impressed people (like making a impression, either good of bad) was with Start Me Up and up to a point Undercover of the Night. Most of my fr

In lieu of Ronnie's 78th birthday on June first, the first day of meteorological summer for the northern hemisphere and hurricane season for the Atlantic basin, what songs stick out for his duration since 1976? Due to Ronnie's duration with The Rolling Stones it's obvious for some people that there are more than the Taylor or Jones years. I figure a limit of 20 tracks can s
