the greatest footballer ever, no one comes close, maradona could do anything, pass, cross, dribble, shoot, head, anything, he could do several things in the one move, love watching his youtube videos. he defied logic at times, so sad hes gone.

i dont think a band that claims to exist without any original members is the same band, i know this is a grey area which provokes much debate but to have a band exist in a certain timescale and claim to be the longest serving band surely at least one member has to be constant.

release a deluxe video rewind, with extra singles and promo videos. some more from the 60,s especially 66 and 67 which often gets neglected. mini tours from 2012 to 2019 would sell well. miss out tours from 94 to 99, weve done that knebworth 76 paris and el mocambo deluxe version of ed sullivan shows and tami show. more shows from 73, 76 and 78 all in various format cd, dv

i havent heard all studio albums right through but have heard most or some of the songs, so cant rank them as of now, but i like the first 2 albums, not heard all of the wall but animals and wish you were here are good to, dark side of the moon is also a good one but i think a bit overrated, once ive heard all of floyds stuff i will be in a better position to rate them love them live thoug

just wondering how people would compare these 2 bands, they are my favourite 2 bands with the stones top, but in the last year ive realized belatedly how brilliant pink floyd have been at times. they both had similar problems and similarities, syd and brians demise, david gilmour steadying the ship just as mick taylor did, then gilmour becoming an integral part just as ronnie did, then gilmo

long shows as a norm began in 1981 with around 25 songs as a typical set list, for some of the 1989 tour, the set list grew to 28 songs for some shows. in 1986 knebworth was 30 songs but typically of that tour the average figure was 17.

you got me rocking according to setlist.fm is played live more than almost any other song when you factor age into the equation and only count actual plays divided by total possible times played. it has a very high percentage which to me is a waste.

on amazon there is a vinyl recording of shows from paris and liverpool from 1965 sold by 2 different sellers, and advertised as being a blue vinyl limited edition, one of them is priced as£9.99 and the other as£269, can anyone tell me if these are genuine. theres a lot of other stuff being sold in vinyl for live 1960,s gigs. wonder if these are rip offs, they dont seem official.

the war between mick and keith did prevent them from touring for 7 years and produced dirtywork but in the long run it benefited the band as they did get their act together and reinvented the new era which most call the vegas era.

a brand name will always have the power to sell because people want to imagine they are getting what they really want even if they are getting a watered down version of band who are well past their peak with few original members. i would have loved to have went to a pink floyd concert without roger if that was all that was on offer, but given a choice i would most want to see pink floyd wit

i got right into early floyd last year, still dont dig the later stuff as much, and to me a pink floyd without roger isnt quite the same, the pre dark side of the moon era is classic floyd, so underrated, ive started collecting the records and cd,s, hope to get the early years, the later years eventually and all the live stuff, including the immersion editions of some of the middle era albums. i

in the early days they covered other peoples songs anyway, they could still do that, dosent have to be the blues, there are other stuff they could do, i dont have a problem with outside songwriters as long as the songs are not credited to jagger/richards theres no problem, give the writing credits to whoever wrote the songs, but is there really a point, not as if they will tour all these songs an

obviously good songs became more sparse after tattoo you, im glad they didnt quit after exile or steel wheels, cos if you combine the 4 best songs from each album you still have a lot of good songs, i do however hope they dont go on too long, would love another album of new stuff, some more touring, and more vaults, outtakes, alternate versions, live stuff from the past etc, but really hope they

we should be happy we live in the youtube age, where we get what we want now and can change within seconds, compared to when i grew up in the 80,s and had to save to buy an lp or vhs video. no pressing buttons and getting choices from hundreds of concerts or promo videos of many bands. hopefully with this youtube age people can always learn more about musics golden age and its up to us older one

sadly my kids generation dont have the same notion for going back a generation to discover real great music, but if they did they could carry the torch just a little bit longer. its up to us to pester them into understanding the best music ever was recorded between the mid 60,s and the mid 80,s. personally i think what came out of the time period 1966-69 was the creative force and inspiration beh
