QuoteBig Al Quotegeorgelicks Quotefelipe1993 Quotebabyblue Why Argentina? I believe the rumors are likely driven by their massive fanbase in Argentina. If you look at the Rolling Stones' Instagram, the majority of the comments come from Argentine fans. That, along with the fact that their last Latin American tour happened 10 years ago, probably explains it. I know the local fan community s

Quoteskytrench QuoteStonedRamblerAdele and Olivia Dean use pitch correction as well in the studio. A studio recording is not meant to be an accurate representation of reality, it’s a piece of art. And if you use vocal tuning that doesn’t mean you can’t sing well without it. That discussion has been settled like 20 years ago. And nobody cares or is outraged about that except some bitter boomers

That's why it's always encouraging to discover that there are artists who actually can sing. Like Adele or Olivia Dean. So the point you want to say in a Rolling Stones fan board is that Mick actually cannot sing. - Doxa And why wouldn't Adele an

His moniker was 5 String, or 5 String Tele? Maybe I'm confusing him for someone else? (I guess it's a common username). Anyway, safe journey.

So, what do we know? We know this: they can't commit to a tour. We don't know what that means but anyway. We also know that they won't tour "now". What now means we also don't know. So what can we hope for then? I guess "not a tour" in the fall or next year. Always something...

The lyrics are funny - he actually sings "I'm so haffa her". Had to read the lyrics to understand it's "so hot for her". Although the song is a trifle I like the guitar work on it. The song is better than the lyrics...

Good for him. I think it's vital for him to show other skills than being a singer in a rock and roll band even though I'm not a fan of celebrity cameos (or small roles) in movies.

I wonder if Sir Michael was paid extra to nanny Keith just like Brian was paid extra for being the leader of the band in the mid sixties?

That's true, Gazza. But I don't think that The Stones were that big in 1985. They hardly did exist as a band. Madonna, on the other hand, peaked that year. Strange though that neither Bruce or MJ took part of the event. Maybe they were in middle of tours?

Probably the worst performance in the history of show business. A rock star parody. Or is it a coke ad really?

Singback rather than miming. They didn't do it for the sound quality or screw ups. It was for the cinematography. To make full use of the Imax format (camera angels, close ups). So the concert footage is heavily tampered with.

It can be an unfair comparison. Some artists are actually both actors and entertainers (singers, comedians). They started out like that. Like Streisand, Midler, Sinatra and Presley. Some do short cameos or minor roles. Like Jagger and Bowie.

The video? I don't think the band invests, or put their effort into it, as much as they used to do. They give the marketing people free hands with as little effort from the band as possible. In a couple of months few will care about the video anyway. Videos were a big deal in the 80s and 90s - not so much anymore.

QuoteIdorh Years ago, I read an interview with Keith; he must have been around 40 at the time. He was indignant when asked at what age he planned to retire. He said there’s no set age for it—why shouldn’t we be able to play rock and roll when we’re over 80? It made me laugh; I thought it was such a silly thing for Keith to say—it seemed absolutely impossible to me. I thought they’d look and sound

The hayday era of music videos was when MTV was big in the 80s and 90s. These days they seem to outsource the video making to the record company or other external actors. They don't put much effort into it. And seldom partake in it. It's just a marketing tool for the first single. I wonder if Keith has even seen it?

If you're 50 you are the younger generation. The core Stones fans are 65 and older. The audience they, and their record company, are looking for is generation Z though. That means the age between 15 and 30. In other words the children or grandchildren of the core fans.

I think arthritis has a releapse stage. Sometimes it bad, sometimes it gets better. So, maybe Keith is awaiting a better period?
