Quotedaspyknows Quotebv I saw a report on our national TV today where the US president got very upset when asked on live TV in USA last night about what he would say to the people in USA if the old malaria drug did not "fix the problem", and it got worse. Then the journalist was told: "I say that you are a terrible reporter" Then our national channel reported that Fox News

Quotebv Quotekeefriff99 Singapore is basically a police state with fancy malls. They have a compliant citizenry, which isn't possible in a country like America. I'm not saying that we couldn't be doing MUCH more in America, but it's not a good comparison. Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, Hong Kong and China are all doing extensive testing, and tracing back every positive

Quotejlowe I was in Singapore from 29 Feb to 5 March. I wasnt aware of any medical checks at the Airport in/out), maybe they were happening for some travellers and I wasnt aware. Other than a cancelled fireworks and light show event in Manley Bay life appeard to be going on as normal for tourists and I assumed residents. Certainly not a lockdown situation. However, nobody from China was being al

Quotegrzegorz67 I’m hearing many stories that pretty much every pub from London to Inverness and all points in between were packed out tonight with said pubs selling off all their drinks at a huge discount knowing that it would otherwise go bad and they’ll now be closed for 3-6 months. Utterly selfish madness. This and the ridiculous panic buying in supermarkets makes me despair of this countr

QuoteGasLightStreet YGMR is funny, they don't stop for Mick being late. Kind of weird now but they seemed a bit unsure, eh? A bit touchy with the attack, seems like Mick didn't know all the words. Akroyd was dancing with a lawn mower on the field at some point, can't recall when that was but damn was he horrible. Aykroyd is a genuine eccentric.

Quoteliddas Quotekeefriff99 I just don't understand what's going on in Italy...haven't they been locked down for a couple of weeks now? How could it still be spreading like this? Because what you are reading is an aggregate figure. The epidemy first started in the north of Italy and is now spreading to the rest of the peninsula. Things will get worse, because thousands

Quotegotdablouse QuoteMisterDDDD The coronavirus is killing far more men than women Upward of 70 percent of deaths in Italy have been men. The question is: Why? "With over 200,000 coronavirus cases worldwide and thousands of deaths, a striking pattern is appearing in the hardest-hit countries: More men are dying than women." The fact that some people are pushing back so hard on the naming of this virus shows how irrational fear, panic, and hatred takes hold. They just want to lash out and hurt people rather than try to elevate the collective discussion. It's why I have zero faith that America will rise to the occasion...people are going to start to getting shot in the streets once this thing really takes off
