QuoteBig Al QuoteSomeGuy I think a proper tape deck and proper cassette tape can offer a pretty good sound quality. What is IPA beer anyway India Pale Ale. The name derives from the beer that the British brewers would ship to the serving military personnel in British India. They would add extra hops, so that the beer wouldn’t spoil during the long voyage. The beer evolved into becoming a s

Thank You very much!! I was at this show. It took almost 20 years to see a bootleg available. Great guitarist indeed with a great backing band.

QuoteNashvilleBlues QuoteMore Hot Rocks QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteDGA35 Wasn't it the Grateful Dead that contacted the Angels? I read recently it was the Ungrateful Living that got the Angels involved. And they didn’t play. Too scared. Scared or responsible? Responsible. And The Stones should've started earlier just to get it over with as soon as possible. With or without Bill (o

My wishlist: -All the available live recordings from the vaults to be released (esp. 1969 tour) -New LP that would be a suitable final studio album but please, no more double albums. Approx. 10 song album would be great. Living In A Ghost Town was a good example that they still can write catchy tunes. Or just dig into their archives of what they've written in the past and record those

QuoteCooltoplady Keith really struggles with he intro. You have to cringe sometimes. That could be one of the reasons behind the decision But I recall Mick was also saying in the nineties that he wouldn't write such lyrics anymore. And if my memory serves me right, Mick was also quite worried would it be suitable to sing Hey Negrita before Bianca okayed it. So, there have been times M

Thanks! This version is the best of the lot I've heard when it comes to 9th May 1977 Oakland gig bootlegs. Sounds great.

Yes, VL would've been so much better album if there was only 1 LP. As a double LP it was too long. 9-10 songs would've been enough. 1. Love Is Strong (3.48) 2. You Got Me Rocking (3.35) 3. Sparks Will Fly (3.15) 4. Moon Is Up (3.41) 5. Out Of Tears (5.27) 1. I Go Wild (4.23) 2. Suck On The Jugular (4.26) 3. Baby Break It Down (4.07) 4. Thru and Thru (6.00) Running time:

Lots of great bands but I go for Grateful Dead or The Doors. ZZ Top ain't bad either (especially the pre-Eliminator period).

Quoteoldschool Quote24FPS It's odd. The other cuts I've heard from that time don't matchup up with the aural tone of Ya Yas. You can see why they weren't included. Could be Mick's non-overdubbed vocals. They were a little raw on the ABKCO dump but for me that is part of the charm. Also the ABKCO tracks are Mono MP3 so not as warm as the multitrack YaYa's mix.

Haven't listened Flashpoint since 1991. I think it's a horrible live album. Too clean to be a Stones live album. I'd rather listen to those vault releases or bootlegs. Perhaps Continental Drift and Start Me Up are the best parts of it. Although Still Life is way too short I'd prefer that instead. I remember back then how it was a huge disappointment when I first noticed they s

Can't say the best but top three usually are Beggars Banquet / Sticky Fingers / Black And Blue. I can't really say bad things about these records. Lots of great tunes and three quite different albums. Those records are also tying Brian, Mick T and Ronnie together.

I still think the best Pompeii version is the original cut from 1972 without the added banter and studio work. Also these new pictures and film clips and animations are horrible.

Great to hear a new song by the band. It's quite nice song with a touch of reggae and ska. I like it. Looking forward to hear the whole album. Hopefully they stick to approx. ten good songs and therefore less fillers.

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteSingle Malt Definitely Sway. My only moaning about the song is that it's too short. The second solo should be longer. Leaving us screaming for more is the oldest, and best, trick there is, isn't it? It worked here Mick J knows that trick well :-)

Quoteletitloose Shocking if true. He has been there all the way through (like Ian Paice in Deep Purple). He came up with the Aerosmith name. Why are there still so many bands out there who consider there drummers to be dispensible. AC/DC were never the same without Phil Rudd. The truth will out... True. Phil Rudd is the best drummer to create the drum sound of AC/DC but they had no choice but t

Great news. Nevertheless Malcolm is no longer with us. Hopefully he had a bunch of riffs and songs stashed somewhere so Angus and co. could use them. He really knew how to make songs with catchy riffs. And it's marvelous if Johnson, Rudd and Williams are all back. Rudd's drumming is just perfect for AC/DC. Hopefully this new album will be good. I think their last good album was Ballbrea

QuoteJordyLicks96 QuoteCHRISTIANF On HTW Mick sings a divorcee from New york city, in the official GYYYo he sings a divorcee from Paris ? It is not a version from Madison garden ? Most of the songs on GET YER YA YA'S OUT have new vocals which were overdubbed at Olympic Studios in February 1970. In this case, he sung the Paris lyrics for the overdub where he sang the NYC lyrics at the actua

Bill's books are great ("Stone Alone" and "Rolling With The Stones") and very much recommended as is James Phelge's book "Phelge's Stones" about the very early days at Edith Grove. I still haven't read Keith's "Life" because Keith tends to twist the truth so I wouldn't know what's true and what is not.

IMO, Brian lost interest towards The Stones. He wanted to stay in R&B and such and the rest wanted to move on. But I've always thought that the main issue was the chemistry between him and the rest. If you don't feel comfortable with someone you don't want him/her around. And without Taylor's contribution the 1969-1974 era would have been duller. Brian's era was also
