I found this on Youtube and am curious if anyone has any insight on this? Is it really Taylor playing 58 min of solos on a loop of 100 years ago from the Goats Head Soup Sessions? To my ears it could be but what is really quite unbelievable is the description. Check it out and please share your thoughts.

Quotedph Pretty sure the whole show is available from the soundboard. But it's not circulating. Yeah Dave not yet but Chris M.must have access to it as he's the one that has been so kind enough to share the ones that are circulating now through his website. Five years back on the anniversary of the show he shared the complete Sun is Shining and t

It was Johnny Winter that actually turned me into a Stones fanatic. I saw him on Don Kirshners Rock Concert in 1973 when I was only eleven years old playing Jumpin Jack Flash and all the next day I was humming the distinct bars to the song and a guitar player friend of mine told me the title and that it was by the Stones so I rode my bike down to the local K Mart store and bought my first Stones

WHAT!! This is a Stones fan website right?? So what is up with all the negative comments and being unappreciative for this masterpiece of a Stones song is beyond me. There is NO comparison to anything the Stones ever recorded regarding this song! Are we hearing the same song here people and fellow Stones enthusiasts? Now I could understand criticising something substandard and incomplete like say

Although its not a concert film I would have to say Gimmie Shelter mainly for the best versions of their 2 biggest songs Jumpin Jack Flash and Satisfaction, respectively which in my opinion is like nothing they have ever recorded live since or before on film or otherwise. As for a concert film then L & G. Midnight Rambler is the best version ever!

Quotemandu my fav version is off ladies and gentlemen,Midnight Rambler Rocks You got it right it is the BEST version that I have ever heard. The interplay between Jaggers harmonica and Taylors guitar in the middle section is mind blowing and unlike anything I have ever heard on any other recording. London Roundhouse 71 is a close second in my opinion.

Wow this sounds really great and so much better than my Lurch label vinyl and my 30th Anniversary Edition CD! Thanks so much for sharing this! I am also one of the ones that cant get the last two songs though and was wondering if someone could advise me what to do or where to obtain them at? It would be very much appreciated.

The interesting thing about Silver train was that it was given to Johnny Winter to record and release as a single and was also released on his kick ass Still Alive and Well album in April of 73 while the Stones released GHS in late autumn of that year. According to the Johnny Winter book Raisin' Cain the early 70 demo version was the one given to him. I had met Johnny at one of shows in 2011

Without a doubt the heaviest Stones song of the Jones era is "who's driving your plane?" Of the Taylor era it is the 1969 live version of Satisfaction from the Gimmie Shelter movie. And of the Wood era Under the radar.

Quotedph The speed on the watchit torrent exactly matches the speed of the official Japanese DVD, including the 3 bonus tracks. Is it wrong? I agree with you Dave as I was about to bring this up as well. It is possible that they didn't tune to their regular tuning of 4/40 or the key of E for this show which is why all the video footage from Granada is possibly correct and not altered and

It is with great sadness that I pass this onto everyone on my favorite web site of the passing of Jonathan Frid, the 60's star of the daytime show "Dark Shadows", who played the 200 year old vampire Barnabas Collins. In just three weeks time his character will be resurrected on the big screen by Johnny Depp in the new Dark Shadows movie in which Jonathan does play a cameo role. I

I love Johnny. The first time that I ever heard Jumpin' Jack Flash was when he played it on Don Kirshner's rock concert in 1973. He is the one who turned me on to the Stones and I have been an avid fan of Johnny and the Stones ever since.

In my opinion Ya ya's set the standard of all live albums and I don't think even the Stones can surpass it. I think that it could matched but not surpassed. Just listen to the sound that Keith has on his ampeg amplifier thoughout the '69 tour, its so intense. Keith's sound on JJF nad SFM is like a sonic boom hitting you right in the face and going straight through to your spi

I am hearing different guitar passages that I have never heard before. With the exception of maybe Brown Sugar and Midnight Rambler this sounds like a new release that was never broadcast before. QuoteHis Majesty QuoteMTWEMISSYOU Very well put and I totally agree. It is a fact that all modern music comes from the same place..the blues. It's not a fact because it isn't true. Okay its my opinion and alot of other peoples. If you watch the Cream farewell at Royal Albert Hall, Jack Bruce expressed the same opinion and I agree with that. I do not consider rap and hip-hop to be

Quotepinkfloydthebarber well hey, it goes round and round, right? there's always been 'theft' of ideas, long as music has been around. sure Zep pilfered old blues riffs and licks and entire songs, even, but they certainly played them with distinction. not giving proper credit was the mistake. they should have acknowledged the artists they were cutting into. but let's not make

Then there's Love in Vain on GYYYO. It is credited to Jagger/Richard even though it's a Robert Johnson song. On Let it Bleed it is credited to Woody Payne.

Okay then "Stop breaking down' may be the only song that the Stones may of been a bit dishonest about. Then theres the erroneous credit given to Jagger/Richard/Taylor on the back cover of Metemorphosis for "I don't know why" although the label on the record had it right as a Stevie Wonder song. I'm sure thats just trivial as the Stones had very little to do with the

Its funny how they would credit some artists but not alot of others. Case in point is 'When the levee breaks", "Traveling riverside blues" and "Were gonna groove" along with the two Willie Dixon songs from the first album. They also did "Gallows pole" which was credited to Page & Plant but was originally recorded by Leadbelly way back when under the

Okay I have read about this and I have seen clips on the "Let it Bleed" documentary that is available on DVD, but I have never seen it complete. Obviously this is a rare video but I was wondering if anyone has seen it or owns it? If so what is on the video other than Mick and Marianne in the garden? Are all the Stones seen in the video and are there any studio clips? I would LOVE to see
