QuoteMAF Quotesaltoftheearth Peter Maffay - Munich 1982 In his own right he is a good musician and worth listening to, but it between the J. Geils Band and the Stones he was just the wrong choice for the occasion. He got booed, and people threw eggs and tomatos on the stage so he had trounble finishing the concert. The same in Hannover 1982. He absolutely was the wrong choice. I saw 5 show

Ronnie Wood is going to release an anthology in September. It's called "Fearless", includes tracks from 1965 to 2025, including four new recordings. One of these, "You're So Fine", is already released:

This recording is one of my alltime favorite boots since I have the "7th of July" CD. It took me back to the shows, I went to in 90. One of my top 10 boots.

Quotecaschimann Quotebobo 81-82 my absolute favourite tour. But if they came back in 89 and was the same ragged shows, they would not have survived as a band. The times had changed way too much. All said in 3 sentences! Yes, exactly. I'm glad I saw them 82, which for me was their last pure Rock'n Roll Tour but to keep on going, they had to change their appereance and sound.

Quotebv The next Stones album is not released yet, but still some fans do worry about sales of the album. So why not worry about WW3 or may be tomorrow you will be hit with thunders and lighting. I do love "Hackney Diamonds". If the next album is at the same level, I will be happy. To be honest, I will be happy anyway. Yes, that's truth. It feels a bit like waiting for a bi

Quotefrankotero There is an IEM from the EVSD label. I believe it's lossy sourced but would make for a great matrix project. Yes, I know about the IEM recording. But the mentioned audience recording is excelent and gives an impression of the live experience. A matrix would be perfect.

Yes, I remember Keith saying "It's good being back in the old place!" So they might have good memories of being and playing there. I saw them in Munich in 1982 at the rain show, 1990 also the second and 2022.

This is realy great! Rosetta Tharpe deserves to be remembered. She was one of the most important artists of early Rock'n Roll. Mick Jagger knows that for sure and it seems he's paying respect to her. Very nice!

I saw them 5 times in 82. The sound was rough and tight and it was in purpose for sure. For me it was their last Rock'n Roll Tour with a pure sound. They didn't try to cover their studio versions yet and I'm glad I saw this tour. The first one of two indoor shows I went to in Frankfurt is my top 1 from 26 I saw till today. I had my place on a balcony directly above the stage an

Since some weeks I'm working on my version of "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face". It's one of the best love songs I know and it's one of the tunes that sound fantastic but not realy difficult. When I started working on it, I discovered it's not easy at all. So I have to work. Johnny Cash's version introduced me to the song but Roberta Flack is the one who m

I still have my vinyls and I had put them in an order of styles and inside of those strictly in alphabetical order. The CDs are strictly in alphabetical order leaving the pronomes off. My digital collection is different. I have put them in a geographical order in combination with music styles and in some cases chronological order and life/studio. Like: Europe/England/Rock/Stones/life/2022

This one is real fun to watch! This keeps the spirit of Rock'n Roll alive. And so do those guys from London of course. I guess Mick Jagger likes it and I guess Keith doesn't know about it but he'd it.

Doechii receives Grammy for best Rap album About 6 weeks ago, in middle of december, I watched this Tiny Desk concert: I was thrilled from the very beginning! What a performance! I'm not a fan of Rap in general but this blew me away. It's her performance and of the fantastic band as well. Wow! For me that's a kind of great Rock'n Roll. Modern and outstanding good.
