Pominville, T Connelly and Hetsch out. I hate to say it but the Sabres are done. That's their top 3 defensive forwards. Being at the game showed me that's that Buffalo just can't keep up.

4233. Re: 1981
I saw The Stones twice in 81'. It was probabaly the worst shows out dozens and dozens since that i've seen. Tumblin Dice was a disaster. Ever tune was played WAY to fast.

Quotebrianwalker Quotepgarof Seen them on all tours since 71, When they played the MNews arena and Wembley arena in 2003 they were definatly NOT vegas, they were raw and at their best. The Vegas stuff on this board is over the top. I saw them in 1981 and they sucked. As far as I am concerned 81 was nothing but a blown opportunity. This was the Stones at their most famous, and most popula

Quotecrumbling_mice Summer Romance, for me, was a classic example of going through the motions; musically it's basic, and that is doing it a favour. I don't like that kind of stuff, it's not what the Stones do best. If it was their attempt to emulate punk, they needn't have bothered cos nothing they ever did was punk as punk was in the UK. It might have fitted with some of th

Quoteakgameboy Ronnie's a great player. But when he's on the stage with the Stones he likes to jump around and doesn't really give the music much effort. I don't blame him in a way. I can't imagine playing the same song (Satisfaction, etc) hundreds of times and not getting bored. Just about every band has done their own tunes hundreds and hundreds of times. Be bored is

Quotethewatchman QuoteGazza There's some very good versions, yes, but I think its a hell of a stretch to say they 'made them even better'. 'Far away eyes' is atrocious IMO. Its a song theyve done pretty well down the years on the few occasions its been played since 1978 (I remember witnessing a lovely rendition at the VL tour closer in Rotterdam in '95 with Mick o
