QuotePalace Revolution 2000 Guys, where are you changing these settings? And does the size affect the number of songs you can fit on the Ipod? They aren't giving you specific iTunes settings. If that is what you are asking, this will be under Edit | Preferences | General ... then look for Import Settings. You can change there. You have a wave option or Apple AAC option if you prefer non-c

Electronic stores will install the ipod friendly radio connection for you, but unfortunately sometimes at a greater cost than your ipod. A local store near me wanted $250 to install it in my wife's car, so I didn't do it. But I had it done in my car by Circuit City (before they went out of business) and the part with labor only cost me $72. I am going to take my wife's car to Best

Looks like they made a correction today (I still never got a reply to my email, i.e. per the 'contact us' selection). Now the added £26 handling charge was changed, lowered to £14.00 for US -- but still added on to the £12 for shipping. Total = £126.00. I did it - reluctantly. I will love having it but still think a cd version should be released, or a digital copy so all fans can

QuoteStonesTod somebody be sure to transcribe it and post it to an illegal download site for the rest of us. thanks! that would be great too -- i would even offer to help offset cost but i suppose that is not allowed.

Quotemattleeuk As it explains on the site: "If you would like to collect the box set from a London location without any postage charges, please see our 'contact us' page. We will do our best to make this happen as we appreciate the postal charges are high due to the weight of the box. Please note handling costs apply when sending the box set abroad, this covers the extra shippin

QuoteWhale QuoteLeonidP Ok, it sells for 100 GBP. Plus 12 more shipping ... then do they really have to add another 26 for handling??? That's where i drew the line and exited out, sorry That's probably the 26 the credit card company asks... Maybe it's cheaper if you get a PayPal account. I admit it's a lot of cash though, for what otherwise could be a simple CD. Now if t

nice! i thought i was going mad on some of the other threads where some are calling UTR a classic. it's very average at best. Doxa sums it up perfectly, imo, as i also find it uninspiring. to me, PMS is a classic tune - i love it from beginning to end. musically great topped of with classic mick vocals.

QuoteErik_Snow QuoteGreen Lady It's a very nice groove - but it just goes on and on and doesn't get anywhere But when the groove is so great......does it have to "go anywhere" ? I'm quite happy staying with that groove, instead of seeing it taking the bus off to somewhere else. i agree ... and the guitar solos within the groove are priceless!

i can't stand these 4 tracks: Dangerous Beauty, Rain Fall Down, Look What the Cat Dragged In, & Driving Too Fast (& mentioned far too many times my dislike for Streets of Love). i am surprised how many think these are classic Stones tracks. Also, is it just me or are songs like: Under the Radar Don't Wanna Go Home Hurricane rated much higher than they should be,

QuoteStonesTod Quotestupidguy2 Remember how cool "Living Thing" sounded the first time you heard it? It didn't sound like anything else at the time. I love all their early stuff. Telephone Line reminds me of Lennon, and they had those great melodies. lynne was a master at hooks - he could create a hook within a hook. he seriously kicks major ass!

i love jesse malin. i've seen him live several times the past few years (including a 'living room' performance). and i agree, the last album w/ St. Marks Social is indeed a killer! I just LOVE this Burning the Bowery track:

funny how we moved to clapton - but i've always felt he was over-rated too ... & boring. i just never got into him all that much. but as for Honest I Do, 24FPS put it better than I ever could: " Music to me is all about the emotional effect. " I feel the same way. The 60s Honest I Do, to me is simply brilliant. I'm not a musician so I suppose that is my emotional effe

QuoteStonesTod the stripped era versions sound flat and lifeless by comparison to their 60's counterparts. nice idea to do them; but they failed in the execution. Agreed ... I'm with the 60s crowd -- I just love the guitar work on those early tracks. I think stripped is great overall, but i don't think any version on stripped was better than the original (especially Like A Rolli

Jeff Beck actually dated my best friend's sister for a year, around the late 80's, Kristen McM ... a pretty famous model at that time: She told us once that she was at a party w/ Jeff & Mick was there too, and that Mick was actually hitting on her right in front of Jeff (& very direct too - like "do you want to go in the next room ..." )

QuoteGlam Descendant >Chris Cornell is such an amazing singer Ugh, my lasting memory of this guy was at the MTV Awards in '94. He was asked during a cut-away moment during the show what he thought of the Stones; he basically rolled his eyes and dismissed them as being "before his time". The interviewer heroically took him to task: "What do you mean before your time?

QuoteMathijs Quoteredsock QuoteBashlets I liked ABB, however the lyrics are embarassing for people over 60. Stop singing about "cocks"like Rough Justice. There is a long list of great bluesmen who never stopped singing about cocks. The cock in Rough Justice is a male chicken, not the organ. Mathijs not to mention, it's my favorite line in the entire album - & Rough J

Quotepaulywaul QuoteDaveG "Out of Time" by Chris Farlowe was, in my opinion, a killer version and was far superior to the Stones' version. I'd have to go with that too, the Stones' version is a bit too .... hmm how to describe .... 'pop' I guess, for my liking at any rate. huh? the farlowe version is far more poppy than the Stones version.

QuoteNICOS Alway's loved this version of Soundgarden Play it loud................................. Not fair to compare this one. Chris Cornell is such an amazing singer & Kim Thaiyl (sp?) is one of the best rock guitarists of all time! As much as I love the Stones version, I think this one wins!
