I am not suggesting they don't have percussion, although the Ya's Ya's verison doesn't have any and it sounds excellent. My question is why it has to be pre-recorded? That is why I hear the Broadway references...wardrobe changes, backing track...well, Broadway might get offended as they use live music.

I had a short listen to some of the tracks from the London '82 show on the Tattoo Deluxe. The tempo seemed a lot faster than say ...Hampton '81 (on of my all time fav show). I recall the film Let's Spend The Night Together where they audio was apparently sped up. Anyone else notice this? Thoughts?

Now this is a great post! Especially compared to my "tissues on Stage post. John Meyer has his own line and countless others (Santana). Not sure why the Stones haven't used them...at least from what I have seen. I was searching online to possibly purchase one ...was looking for a semi hollow with humbuckers.

Clearly the tour is over! I was just going thru some photos from Tampa, Altanta & Hollywood ...and couldn't help notice them again. I also remember Ronnie using them on the b-stage in Miami in 2019...thus the post. I probably should be banned for a week from this site.

Enjoyed the show ...19th Nervous Breakdown was rockin'. Not one I would typically call for ...but lots of energy. It was great to hear and see them in a smaller venue. Set list was a bit of letdown in that it was short and even Keith's tunes were in my opinion, the least two favorites. Previous post mentioned playing Slave...would love to hear it but since they aren't playing Brown Sugar for fear of possibly being tone deaf...this seems unlikely. However, i picked up my electric guitar last night for the first time in about a week...and out came Slave ...without even thinking. Then I started thinkg...this would be nice to hear!

Very cool that BV posted it as clearly its a great show. I have taken a few photos on this tour and while the stones are very photogenic there are obstacles to deal with. With other bands you might notice people holding up cell phones at certain points to take pictures or a video. There are lot of folks up close taking pictures and videos. I had at least one person in front of me in the pit hold

I am a fan of both the Dead & The Stones and understand that music is what they all do and enjoy...and they will continue to play/tour in some form or fashion going foward. Yes, Dead & Co can be slow ...but I will go hear Weir as long as he keeps playing. Same for the Stones. I do John Meyer is a masterful guitar player. The Stones puzzle me at times...seems less like a Rock N' Roll
