Never saw the Wild Child clip, love that and The End. Hate what Perry Ferrell did with the Morrison vocal though.

Great article on your Dad in Rolling Stone, CBII. Near the end I was glad to see that he's possibly still gonna release a book of sexcapades, and that he's told you about them so you won't be shocked! Oh the stories you must be able to tell.

Sounds like good basic rock n roll. I wish that Madison Square Garden New Barbarians release had come out too.

Leave She Was Hot and All The Way Down alone and remix the rest, absolutely. It might make me like the album more. Like Dylan's Empire Burlesque, it's a flawed album mostly because of the sound. Both have great songs and are victims of the 80s production sound.

All his Chess Recordings are now available, in 1955-1959, 1960-1966 and 1969-1974 4 cd box sets. All are great investments, and well worth getting. I keep hoping the Mercury Recordings will get an anthology as well. Not as good as the Chess stuff, but still fun. What would be even greater would be an anthology of the 1979-present recordings.

I forgot those outtakes that others have mentioned here. Deep Dense, She Smiled Sweetly, The Singer Not The Song, etc.; I really hope Lindsey stays on the creative role he's been on and includes these on his next solo album.

Indeed it is. I have the entire album as it was going to be released originally in 2001. A great, great album that would have really established Buckingham as a major solo artist. The 2008 version is still probably his best solo album, but to me, the earlier version tops it.

I would say the last official songs would be the tracks off Rockit from 1979.

Why isn't the acoustic All Down The Line on this?

If you combine the few (and I mean few) good tracks from NLMD and some from Tonight and great soundtrack stuff like Absolutely Beginners and This Is Not America you get a really solid 80s Bowie album. Sure would've been better if he took a few years and put it out instead of Tonight and NLMD.

Despite Tonight being a mess of an album, "Blue Jean" is a song I could leave on repeat for an hour.

Yeah, sadly. He played with many of the greats - Keith, Chuck Berry, etc., and now Mayer's garbage.

I think Ronnie's obviously joking about the whole horrible people thing. It's in jest, when you're mates for (almost) life, you can get away with that stuff.

I remember reading once (not sure where) that Dylan was invited and showed up for some rehearsals but left before the concerts because he and Chuck didn't get along? Is this true?

In the documentary about Donald Cammell called The Ultimate Performance (I think) there are some quick cuts of them in bed that's pretty hardcore. At least I think it's them, it's filmed under a bedsheet and I'm pretty sure it's Mick, the hair matches at least, haha.

Do you know if these will be just downloads or out on cd as well?

This is even more great Bowie stuff. He seems to be retired so he's opening his vaults to the fans. Too bad we aren't getting any new stuff, but I'm not complaining with all these vintage releases.

More than likely it'll have the songs that were only on the Australian versions of their early albums.

This is about the new Buddy Holly sets, Rarities and Memorial Collection. I haven't gotten them yet because I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that later this year all the tracks will be part of a box set. I've done some web searches and haven't found anything. Does anyone know more on this?

An all Chuck Berry covers album by the Stones would be a great thing.

Thanks for listing all these. This is one of my absolute favorite Chuck Berry songs. It should be more well known. I second the question: did the Stones ever do a studio recording of this? I'd love to have one.

I have the 2nd Chuck comp, while the music isn't at the same level of his 50s material, it's just as fascinating.

I agree. For some reason all of Lou's 70s albums are remastered, except Street Hassle, I've never heard it, but always hear how great it is.
