Quotetomcasagranda There's only one set of winners in this court case, my learned friends, and that's the lawyers. Neither Johnny nor Amber are coming out of this very well. + 1

QuoteTheGreek QuoteMathijs QuoteAmpegVT22 Good luck with that. Celebrity origins do not always make a playable instrument. I played the 70's 'Skull & Crossbones' 5 string guitar -- made I thought TN Jones, but probably actually by Zemaitis. It was a dog. A horrible lumpy instrument. (Loathed by Alan Rogan too, who was as good a judge as anyone). After languishing

QuoteJumpinJeppeFlash QuoteNikkei Quoteerikjjf QuoteBig Al QuoteNikkei Keith has more that once shown that he is willing to play one song on a novelty guitar. The silver-pink tele from 02/03 was also sort of cool Wasn’t that a gift from ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons? It was. I always thought Woody made him do it as he also had a silver strat for the encore Also a custom made Bolin. Woody'

It was a great time with fantastic songs back then in 1965. The Stones "Satisfaction" The Beatles "Help" The Byrds "Mr. Tambourine Man" and ... you name it.

Well, I don't know if this vid has been posted here before. If so, I beg your pardon. Myself, I've seen it today for the first time and I really like it. It's Eric joining Jeff Beck at Ronnie Scott's.

Yes, a good one. I enjoyed watching him playing that Vox guitar. Pretty sure he didn't play it for the recording but it looks cool in the vid.

QuoteTheGreek Very strange indeed and the drug deal sounds like the cause . I mean why else with the muscle of the Stones attorneys would they not go after the parties involved and reclaim such iconic instruments used to make such historic and timeless mnasterpiece classics ? The fog and haze of drug use hangs over this matter very heavily indeed ! What I think is that back in these days almos

He did play one, however, in the Hyde Park concert 1969: Actually apart from Hyde Park 69, what other shows did Keith play a Flying V? Did he use it in the 69 tour at all? After Hyde Park he used i

Not with one of the band but with a guy really close to them in the early days. Alexis Korner in 1969. Don't know if this counts.

I'm no expert. I just want to clear this up first before I will be blamed for to tell just rubbish. Well, I think there are already so many Rocky copies on the market (some really good and some not) so that this "new one" doesn't make sense for me.

The guitar in question was/is a Guild Starfire. The color of it is a very dark green. Many years back Buddy was a Guild endorser. I still have the Guitar Player Mag from back then with a Guild advertisment in it that shows Buddy and a green Starfire. Alas, currently I can't post pics.

What I once read is that several years ago during rehearsals Ronnie came up with Brian's Vox Teardrop. And that Keith was not amused and so told him to take it away.

I was about 20 years old when they had their time and I really liked them. Bought their first Vinyl LP and guess I still have it in the attic. A few years ago I read on a guitar forum (think it was the 'Les Paul Forum') about June Millington and her original LP Burst that she still ownes. Seems that she is still around.

Quoteloog droog QuotePhil Good Hope it will be as good as the Le Mans Movie with Steve McQueen and Siefried Rauch was. I hope not. Any Steve McQueen fan will tell you that LeMans was probably his second-worst film. (Worst would have to be another vanity project, his well-intended adaptation of Ibsen's An Enemy of The People.) Each his own. I liked and still like that film a l
