A different possible way we could go after these lying companies. I have been assuming any legal action would need to be under UK and/or English law. However, there may be a way this can be covered by USA law - through a class action. Front Gate Tickets is primarily a US company, with what appears to be their main office in Austin, TX. My ticket was purchased through barclaycardbritishsumme

So I think this is my plan: a) I will answer to FGT and ask for refund of service charges and delivery costs of 49,9 total. b)After the concert if I'm not happy with how the Tier 2 turn out to be I will make complains to AE

Quotenobodyimportant Quotesjs12nothing will placate the latter other than a reorganisation of the entire event and layout to suit their own expectations. Not even a refund and option to have t3 tickets. You have it the wrong way round. Our expectations were based on what was sold to us. The "reorganisation" has been done subsequently. Exactly!

Quotegotdablouse Not anymore, just tried $85 for San Jose and nothing came up. Didn't follow the US sales, were people able to get pit tickets ("main floor" I suppose?) or was it "gold dust" like last year? I purchased two $85 tickets for three different concerts today, but we will not know where they are located until we pick up the tickets at Will Call right before

I have seen no evidence that AEG is considering doing more to address our concern. After I received the canned response today, I sent another email to AEG/Front Gate and received this reply: Thanks for your constructive feedback and response. Unfortunately the previous e-mail is the best that we can offer in this situation and the official response from AEG. Please let us know whether you

Quotekernowmod Don't mean to push the issue of credit cards but those who have purchased on credit card have a right to go back to the credit card company & ask for compensation. Thet advertised (well we all know what they advertised) & if they are not gong to deliver it's joint responsibility of the credit card company This probably will not help much regarding pressuring AEG

Regarding the $85 tickets GA and Seat numbers, someone on Shidoobee said those numbers are just for reference for Ticketmaster and Will Call. That they do not mean anything more than that. Since the promotion states you will learn your location once you pick up your tickets at Will Call, that sounds right.

Perhaps there is hope AEG will come up with something acceptable. Not sure how? This is slightly off topic, but the AEG $85 per ticket sale for North American concerts appears to be working - and the anti-scalper measures are enabling real fans to buy these. Lots of people on Shidoobee (and probably here too) are reporting getting these. I bought two for Chicago, June 3 - and earlier pulled u

AEG is owned by Phil Anschutz, a billionaire, whose holding company is located in Denver, CO - where I live. If this does not get resolved in an acceptable way for Tier 1 & 2 purchasers, within a few days, I plan to visit their office and not leave until I can make a personal complaint with a responsible officer. The office is located at 555 17th St., Ste. 2400 Denver, CO 80202 Phone: 303-

Quotesjs12 Oh seriously though. People should be fundamentally against the whole concept of tiers. It as about as un-rock.n roll as you can get. If you realise that they are doing away with the idea of corporate hospitality and VIP I font understand why you are not rejoicing. Or is it that money is so important that it trumps rock n roll? In which case, perhaps you need to rethink what is most im

@ His Majesty You stated "more people in general public have access at same time." Really? You could be correct, but please explain how. Maybe more people are trying in the general sale (maybe not, since most Stones fans were notified multiple times how to access the pre-sales and most of those would have already purchased). But assuming lots more people try to buy at the beginning

QuoteHis Majesty The info that GA 3 tickets could get you access to the front was public before the general sale started. Why it should have more entitlement is because the GA 3 having access to the front is as per the actual official layout, as per the stones own statements and it also involves thousands and thousands more people than the tier 1 and 2 combined. Most of the tickets were p

QuoteKarlos123 This is pretty the much the same situation you are in. You bought something which doesn't exist. So they can change everything again any the day before the concert??? Clear

@gotdablouse I think there will be plenty of demand for the Tier 1 (and maybe Tier 2) tickets, even with the current descriptions; so the refund solution will have minimal impact on AEG. If that is all they legally need to do, then basically they get away with this fraud. Yes, there will be many, like me, who cancel, but others will buy those tickets. The only impact I see, is that now the ot

Thanks paulywaul. What AEG (and the Stones) did is terrible! I hope these efforts by IORR posters result in an acceptable offer to Tier 1 (and 2) purchasers. I started a thread on Shidoobee to alert their members of this situation. If AEG does not rectify this, I will cancel - and I hope there will be some recourse through your legal system for Tier 1 and 2 purchasers.
