I'm wondering for some years now - how come that at most gigs there are (seemingly organized) people approaching you, asking whether you would SELL tics. They do this at shows where many tickets are still available too ! Anybody knows how they work?!

However one thing is for shure: the fluid riffs on Thumb, JJF etc are not played by Keith. Neither live nor in studio . .

Sorry but this Wyman is soo boring to me! He's always complaining about the Stones songs played live (thats ok with me!) but than only plays this really old stuff. And in a boring old fashioned way! Wheelchair-Rock, really!

It's been obvious that Jagger/ Stones didn't like them officialy. They were too much of a Stones cliche. But in reality I think they liked them! Btw - I liked F.Groovies "Shake some Action"!

Funnily - that's what Ronnie said: We don't change much or noodle around. We try to keep as near at the original as possible. LOL !

I hate Gunface too. But every good album has a downer! And there are so many good things to explore. Lowdown is a good one as well! You can see that they worked hard on that album. Maybe too much production on 1 or 2 songs. But there is still a lot of flesh on the bone! I hardly know a new band that makes such a great CD. It was completely underrated!!

I still don't get the point of it all! So Keith was drunk. Big thing! He's always pissed, well- more or less. But his playin is going down. That's for sure. Good nights have become rare! Maybe that's why he is getting thin-skinned! This Ove is a big fan and wrote a nice book.(Unfortunately in svedish only). And now he fears for his place in Keith heart or what ?! Co

While many fans disliked ASMB I always found it a good tune! And it had a lot of airplay on European radio. Live it sometimes may have sounded kind of flat . . but I remember having seen it very strong on 1 or 2 dates! (Could be Werchter or Bremen)

Too many!! I've got ca. 120 myself. And depends what kind of book you're looking for. The 2 early books by D. Dalton are nice. And Roy Carr's. For different reasons I like the books from S. Booth,R.Greenfield's journey,Perry's Exile, T.Sanchez,Flippos on the road,Giulianos not fade away, Wymans Story and some of those expensive Genesis books (Exile,Crossfire and

Unfortunately they just don't have the self-assurance to play newer songs for a longer time these days! But BtB was a great album and a very good tour! Some of the best songs on those BtB dates were from their latest album. Out of Control and Saint of Me were highpoints of each gig! And Flip, Thief and Anybody seen my B. were live great as well! I don't remember a tour with

YaYa's may have overdubs. BUT - it's not plastered and the Od's are not really that important! The stories about YaYa's overdubs are highly exaggerated! That's the difference to later gigs/albums. If you listen to boots /acetates from those 69 dates, - the original stuff is still great. A bit OD here and there but nuthing to get upset about! The original material

2 things: where is this letter from? Did he really write it to the press? Can't believe that. (although he did something like that before in UK). And didn't Blondie say that Keith was indeed drunken at that gig? Or was it another one?

Even to name 10 is not that easy if you are a maniac!! The Grand4 (in always changing order) YaYa's Goats Head Soup Aftermath IORR Bridges to Babylon (underrated album with great songs! The songs from BtB were among the best of that tour) December's Children Live Licks (extra point for very good late live album. Apart from those mixing failures some great rocking stuff!Very

It's not about stopping! Sad Sad Sad that the famous Stones don't seem to have more self-confidence and believe in their work! Otherwise they would give a shit and bring their new songs to the audience. Or at least rearrange the old stuff! Musically there is no adventure, nothing surprising in their performance/ setlist. And they could work out of one of the greatest wealth of

Sent it to me is a great song musically! And I like songs as : If you really want to be, Let it loose, Got the blues, Coming down again, Anybody seen my baby, Shine a light . . Plus Luxury and Winter are great. But I doubt songs like Winter will work without Mick T. They ruined already some of these gems! To me they don't neccessarly have to find unplayed songs. But it would be gre

Well, BB is obviously different but I like it !! And the lipsync problem has not to do with overdubs! You just have to adjust your DVD/TV stereo!

To Phil, just now saw your post! Yes 1970 that was the last tour without fences in front of stage! You may remember that before the Stones everyone was sitting relaxed on the ground, smoking, etc.like at most gigs in those days! So during the long break I went to the Foyer(bootleg title!) for some food and just at that moment the Stones came on stage and everyone jumped up! So I had lo

Let's be honest! That was a bit disappointing. Still don't know the "Keith on fire" and "Best gig ever" reviews. But here goes the myth from last tour gigs in their hometown . . They surly know the net and their fans expectations. But in their 3 final gigs no surprises in the setlist apart from usual changes, nobody on stage, nothing special. There are so ma

Always loved that version too. Partly it has to do with the drumming as well. Originally Kenny Jones did the the nice (kind of "turned around") drumming. Charlie could never play it that way. But on some occasions (f.e.here) it's a bit reminiscent of the original studio version. If Charlie has a good day it always shows! He plays those little extra beats and those versions ar

There had been much critic of FF's mixing as well! Think they tried to do some changes. I like BB very much! Salt of the earth and especially all that Argentinian stuff to me is really great! Soundwise I haven't really compared it yet. Both are nice in their way. But I would like to make a comparison of the audios only as well! Did anyone do this yet!?

There have been so many things/ guitars stolen and simply lost in those years. Same goes for tapes unfortunately! And if it comes to interviews and memories you shouldn't even trust in Keith' words. On smack and coke you tend to forget and mix up many things! To believe stories from those times you should have gotten them from 2-3 sources to be sure. (Or you're completely mud
