Great news! I can only hope he will visit some countries he's never been to, so that I can catch him! It sounds so exciting!

QuoteGazza QuoteHappy24 On the contrary - the Chinese guy was always so happy whenever he remembered 2 words, tah he was louder than the rest tof the band together. I still don't get the purpose of that performance and why did this disaster appear on the DVD.... Simple reason was that it was to popularise the Stones in China, as they're absolutely unknown there. The show was filmed

Quoteshortfatfanny And what about Eddie Vedder ? Bit shy but not too bad ,I think. DidnĀ“t appear Bono on stage as well ? Anything known about it ? I really like Eddie's bit - his approach is very humble and yet powerful - the little changes in the mellody are really nice. I think that this is the right approach from a Stones's guest. On the contrary - the Chinese guy was alwa

Justin Timberlake, Dave Mathews, that Chinese guy...All af them have been already mentioned here, so this time I pretty much go with the main flow. Anyway, I don't think Axel was so bad. Otherwise I don't care about him at all. And well - Kent has a good point! Is that Hell's angel that "famous" Sony, or is it another one?

I bought the Aerosmith's Big Ones the last week. I used to love it when I was at the grammar school some 15 years ago and haven't heard it since then (I used to have it on a tape). And I found it in one shop for a very nice price, so I bought it and well, it is still great I have to say!

I tried to think about it quite hard and I always came back to Mick Jagger. Honestly. Otherwise I really like Bono's voice (when it is not gone) - don't throw stones at me. And who else? I saw Paul Rogers the last week and he is a great singer, but he can not be compared to Mick as a frontman. Michael Stipe is a great singer. Dave Gilmour is also great. Now Buddy Guy

Oh yea, Dead flowers is really simple. As Tears Go By is not difficult either. Honky tonk woman is not a good choice, it is not so simple when played properly. At least not for a beginner. Angie is also quite simple if you only want to play chords...

It looks like things got out of hands for a while here at the IORR. I can only imagine, when I got here, everything had been already cleaned up. But it looks like it was not much fun...

Liddas, thank you for your observations, I pretty much agree with you. I personally wouldn't say that it is better or worse than ya ya's, but that was not your point either. I really like SAL and I am tired of all the criticism. It is an excellent concert by an excellent band, which has changed during the last 40 years... That's it.

Well, I have to say that I don't care about Jackson at all, but this article made me lugh. First - Sun is a very reliable source and as much as I understand, the article is based on an information that a fan of MJ told the Sun. Now the fans of Jackson should get really excited - it is alomost an official tour announcemet!

It reminds me of the times when I was in Sweden - I spent 1 year in Stockholm as an exchange student in 1999/2000. Possibly the best year of my life - I fell in love with Stockholm instantly - and I bougth an ABBA CD with the songs they sang in Swedish (really cool) and also Agneta's greatest hits (her solo stuff, also in Swedish). Whenever I want to revive those memories, I put on this Agne

I haven't listened to any ABBA album for sooo looong, but I have to say I like them. They are the best in their cathegory. Great songs, great performance. None of the songs belong to a "bad taste" cathegory, where a lot of pop stuff belongs. And the songs are timeless, as mentioned above. (But still...I don't feel like listening to them right now :-) )

2267. Re: Tour
Quotetippy2toes I really can't see a big tour again and so soon next year? C'mon. The boys need a long rest. Well, I personally think that this is very difficult to judge - they are not like other people, being on tour is normal life to them. Pretty much. I can not imagine myself doing something like that and I am half of their age. I would be exhausted after two weeks (or rather much

Quoteskipstone You think Connection is brilliant from Shine A Light? Have you actually listened to it on the record? Keith sounds like he's being strangled. It should have been kept off the album - it's embarrassing to play with other people - Stones fans even - around. Well, I personally like the SAL Connection a lot, but I was surprised that my wife, who is not a Stones' fan th

QuoteDoc The mosty visually boring act to me is Pink Floyd. Roger Waters actually makes very good connection with his audience. I was very surprised when I saw him - I expected him to be cold and distant, but he was actually quite cool, at least he seemed to be. He put on one of the best concerts I have ever attended both musically and visually. But I understand that you probably speak about t

Bob Dylan. But that is another case... :-) I wouldn't call him dull, but I have never seen anyone else trying so hard not to make any other connection with the audience than by the music itself. But that is well known.

I saw the SAL again in the cinema the last week and I have to confess that I can't get enough of the Keith's set. He sings with such intensity...I remember that many people here criticised Connection, I don't understand why, it is brilliant and the fact that it is interrupted is unforgivable. You Got The Silver is obviously one of the highlights, just like it was during the 07

Quotebillwebster It's kind of to the Stones what "Baby One More Time" is to Britney Spears: it's too annoyingly catchy. What? If you mean that seriously, then you must think that the rest of the Spears' songs are quallity rock songs... Surely you just want to make us laugh.

Start Me Up Brown Sugar Paint It Black Rocks Off Rough Justice (as much as I like Gimme Shelter, I don't thik it is a great opener. It is of course much better song than Rough Justice for instance, but I think that RJ works great as an opener. I could say pretty much the same about other great songs that open albums, but I would feel them somewhere else on the albums. Well, it is not

I have always liked Angie. I was -4 when it was released, so I have very few personal memories :-) But it is one of my favourite ballads. I have only heard it once live (2006 in Berlin) and it pleased me a lot. I don't know whether I prefer Angie or Wild Horses. Probably WH...but both songs are great.
