QuoteSonofHarlemShuffler Even though the sound isn’t exactly perfect, to my ears that is the best live performance of Jumpin’ Jack Flash I’ve heard. I agree and Keith's guitar tone is perfect. Raw and crunchy. Kinda reminds me of his tone on Can't You Hear Me Knocking.

Quotehbwriter crazy - the first time we see mick and keith sharing a mic? and how cool keith sang back up on JJF to get that Ya Yas sound Good point and I think that 69/70 was the only time Keith sang backing vocals on Jumping Jack Flash, apart from the studio version of course.

Same user who posted the Pittsburgh 72 footage has posted this. Jumping Jack Flash and Roll Over Betthoven live in Paris in 1970. Awesome footage:

QuoteCaptain Teague Trying to punch someone on LSD! 80mph on central London streets! Even at 3am the roads are not long enough! Those are quotes from Tom Keylock, I believe.

QuoteDbs1972 Automaticchanger is correct... they just took the Glimmerstones b&w video and added a weird color filter and “dust and scratches” to give it the feeling of a 16mmm color film. As Stones collectors, fans, and historians this is important to note..! I thought it was a real 16mm/8mm film. Still, I must admit I find it more enjoyable to watch it this way compared to the origina

Wow! I had never seen this. The Stones performing "Bitch" and "Midnight Rambler" live in Pittsburgh in 1972. Great, great stuff!

QuoteStonesTod it's what the word "unlistenable" was invented to describe.... What is "unlistenable" about it? Sounds like good rock and roll to me.

Quotebolexman MemoFromTinaTurner, I'm interested- what is it about the song "Always Suffering" that you like? What makes it special? Keep in mind you might inspire some people you are reading this (such as me!) to reappraise the song... Cheers! It's kinda hard for me to say what it is that I like about the song. Whenever I hear a song that I like, I don't usually stop a

One of my favourite bands. They're really good. I saw them live three months ago or so in Barcelona and they were amazing. They're definitely worth checking out.

I've got the spanish mono edition on vinyl and I must say it sounds a lot better than the stereo edition of the album. The mix sounds more punchy and powerful. None of the CD reissues of the album that have been released so far come close to how great the mono mix sounds on vinyl.

I didn't know Perry played on "Copycats". I love that record. Good stuff. I've never heard of Pete's project The One so I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the heads up!

Quoteandrewm Love the Only Ones. A band I was in back in the 90's recorded a version of their great b-side 'Oh No' for an lp. Whatever you make of Perrett's personal life, I think he's a very underrated tunesmith and John Perry is both a great guitar player and a fine writer of prose. One of only two Johnny Thunders gigs I saw ( wish there'd been more ) featured Perr

Any fans of this band around here? Their sound was pretty Stonesy so I'm sure some people around here like them. "Another Girl Another Planet" is an amazing tune. Here's one of my favourites songs by the Only Ones. It's called "Someone Who Cares":

I remember some time ago, someone from this board uploaded this whole interview with Keith from 1978. It was great but I can't find it now and I'd really like to see it again. Does anyone have it? If so, please upload it here or upload it on youtube. Many thanks in advance!!!

They closed my youtube account a few months ago, too. I was the user named RockCityAnger in youtube and I also had a lot of Stones videos and about 1600 suscribers. I logged on one day and suddenly it was all gone. I hate Abko.

Ron Asheton was definitely awesome! The first two albums by the Stooges are full of amazing riffs. His guitar tone was also incredible. RIP, Ron!
