QuoteRipThisBone Strange Gram was cut out of the pictures. Oh, those marvelous images... Love the soft focus of the two-shot, only the beermug being sharp. There are 5 different, almost identical versions of that MJ/KR shot available to my knowledge, one of them being the wonderful Gram version Then there are three additional ones from the same "session", the MJ with guita

Great video Django It seems so strange today seeing the gates uncovered. Without the cover there was so much to see. The villa, the sphinxes - I mean the garden itself was something to look at. Its so cool to have this video also, Django, since it documents Nellcote in its last month before the Russian takeover. It was put on the marked in August 2007, and bought by the Russian the same mon

Thank you for all those pictures JustinVasconcelos and Jaggerzita. Great to know someone passionate checks in now and then on the dreamvilla. Wonderful shots! Funny fact: For those who wish to see it, according to French law it is actually permitted to access the Nellcote beach (if you can get there) as it is considered "public". Wouldn't recommend it during the two weeks th

Five reasons for seeing the NoFilter tour 1.The new show opener - I think if there was something called « jaw-o-meter», measuring the jaws falling as RS opened with Sympathy, the jaw-o-meter would be on 11. At least in the IORR camp present.  And putting Gimme Shelter as an encore, "finally" acknowledges its status as one of the most known songs in their catalogue. 2.The long set

Quotepeoplewitheyes The photo with Keith sitting on the sofa says that the reflection of the billboard poster can be seen in the window. I have to say, I can't really make it out, but would the billboard posters be up if, as the caption says, they were still working on the album? I think he means you can see the reflection ( upside down?) not of the billboard, but of a printed approval o

I believe there was a small parking at the site actually, didn´t drive so didn´t talk to the parking guy, though. Its at the end of a long narrow road on the west side of the premise. Or else there is a small bakery 50 m away (west) with a few spaces. I visited the expo this week too, and must say its really nice. Good luck.

Thanks DP - yes found it. Super rare image. It finally answers the question nobody in the universe ever has asked himself (except me, I assume), whether the kitchen at Nellcote had an extra entrance from the hall and down to the basement. Anita looks freaking radiant, but yes, perhaps a bit less self assure or not knowing the photo being taken I guess. Love it.

Quotedcba If you're a hardcore fan (or into a morbid vibe) stop at the 57 rue de Seine, this is where JM fatally OD'ed. Oh, I always assumed he OD´d at home in Rue Beautreillis. Please enlighten me - as far as we know he OD ´d at home or someplace else? And what was his address at this point? (Yeah its a bit morbid, but I guess I like to visit rock-related places whenever I travel

Quote2000 LYFH That's Tommy Weber's son Jake and the picture (by Dominique Tarlé) is most likely from the summer of 1971. Keith rented it from April 1971 to March 1972, but I think by November 71, they had left and gone to LA to finish Exile. Don't know who was there from Nov 71 to the end of Keith's lease in March 72... Yes yes and yes Keith arrived on a BA flight on th

I guess you´ll either hear screams of agony or joy when they arrive. I got mine real cheap, so I hope for the real stuff but expect the worst Guess Amazon sells the real stuff though.

I can vouch for Matt Lee as a stand up guy and the resident expert concerning rock memorabilia. My mail is not hidden and I would love to share with you some of the material regarding the French court proceedings against Tony in 1972. g.
