Is there any source of music transcription for Darryl Jones Stones's bass lines (music sheets in F key) ? Bill's bass lines are a bit covered on Youtube, sometimes with notation, and the transcription is really different from what you find if you buy the music sheet, since the F key is written mostly for the piano, I guess. I would be curious to see Darryl's bass lines on t

Yeah. Thanks. I was lost with the Sticky Finger Live version, which was released quite at the same time. Nicky Hopkins is incredible in the mix.

Please, help me finding the official 1971 "from the vault" bootleg... It's all digital, not a record to my knowledge.. Like a double or triple LP, UK tour, featuring many songs in double... Recorded in Roudhouse, Leeds, etc... I had it on my hard ware, but now I' m lost..

QuoteNikkei i mean, this is international. some of us trying hard to make sense while native speakers don't try very hard to crack jokes. "some contemporary artists: maybe the likes of ed sheeran, harry styles, justin bieber and taylor swift" who is meant by that? people of that category but not the ones listed? lookalikes? "imagine who we met there: the likes of taylor swift&

QuoteSighunt Quotetreaclefingers RIP...he was so right. "Ladies and Gentlemen, the Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World...The Rolling Stones!" Another great individual, part of Stones rock and roll history, who has left us. I remember this excerpt from that famous interview that Jann Wenner did with Mick Jagger in 1995: "Are the Stones the greatest rock band in the wor

Fits better than Indiana Jones, IMO.... « This must be Deadmans Well, the squatter camp where Stanley Honeywell lives. Ivan checks his watch, wonders if it’s worth a visit, decides to call in. It’s a Mad Max scene, deserted, a rising wind singing off a broken windmill, the distant sounds of the Rolling Stones. ‘Sympathy for the Devil’. A stray dog sidles towards him before collapsing onto the

I like this creepy Stones area, even it seems a lot of crap. It introduced me to bizarre characters like Aleister Crowley and Anton Szandor LaVey, But some people still worry about the Stones' devilish entertainement

Quotefrankotero Ultimately I'm for 1969 live version, second is 1968 video version, absolute primal intensity. The song in it's truest form in my opinion. 1969 is my all favorite too. Slow, crushing intensity. Charlie at his very best.

QuoteChristiaan Thanks for using this one of me from Telia Parken Kopenhagen 2017 with iPhone 10 We thank you! I didn't pretend to select the "best" version of each year. There are certainly change of pace, although the 2022 version seems to come back to the orignal tempo circa 1968-1969. It seems, but I'm not sure, the key changes sometimes.

QuoteMelBelli It was great for him to have been brought in from the wilderness. But it was also clear that he didn’t have much left in the tank. Taylor was commissioned for two or three songs a night. I see it was together as a precaution and a trap, even I was so happy to see him back. Precaution, so Taylors would not steal too much of the show, and also because the Stones would not be bra

Thanks a lot I read about 1970 Paris shows, now it's fun to see it live Famous people include, I believe, Nathalie Delon and Regine. The guy talking and showing the fist, revolution-thing in the aftermath of May 68, had the green light for a two-minute speech by Mick Jagger himself, I read years ago..

QuoteBig Al Quoteshadooby You can't count these guys out, they are the real deal. Well, I do think the musicianship is first-rate. That’s undeniable, at least. They surely can rock. But too much esoterism. A little of would be sufficient. No needs for Dune or Stargate operas. But maybe they count on it to build a fan base.
