QuoteMarthaTuesday Quotekleermaker Martha, I see a another great pre-show adventure dawning. Going to your brother in Australia seems a good thing to me, especially if you go to a RS concert there with a much smaller crowd instead of the massive masses in Europe. Anyway, I'm looking forward to your decision! I can't help but think that it's fate I should go see them in Austra

QuoteManofwealthandtaste As far as I am aware the StonesVikings get-together on Monday is at Stampen in the Old Town, I am sure Mickijaggeroo will reconfirm that..... Sounds good! Are Non-Vikings able to join ? I have a surname of viking origin, does that count ?

QuoteDandelionPowderman Great to hear, Gregor! I had one of those guys right behind you in Oslo, but eventually (after a good silent wrestling match) he went to try his luck elsewhere Hi Bard! I definitely felt some jostling going on behind me during the show and noticed the security guys shining their torches into the crowd just behind me, several times and shouting at some people. I thou

Quotegotdablouse Great, another one shot not too far from where I was ;-) Going back in time, the "Pelouse VIP" when I arrived at 6.36PM, not too crowded fortunately! Felt a bit bad for the "Pelouse Or" as I walked through the filtering point... I've got a photo of my own almost identical to this. I was 2nd row in Pelouse Or, Keith Side, near the B Stage and VIP

Not only did I get a good spot - I stood with my long time friend and his son who live in Cambridge I unfortunately had a shoulder joust with a local to my left who was trying to make space for his girlfriend to his left (by pushing me, an innocent party to his right) but I refused to cave even though he was much bigger and younger and he eventually backed down.>< You don't solve pro

From my 2nd row spot in Pelouse Or in Paris (bought on the bus on the way in bizarrely lucky circumstances) I saw him pacing around the VIP Pit smiling and saying Hello to lots of people while we waited for the Stones to come on. The VIP pit in Paris was very sparsely filled at the back while there was the usual argy bargy and elbowing in Or to gain just a few extra inches. I'm going out

Martha, Ryannair do a good service from Stansted to Stockholm Skavsta. To cut costs Stockholm has many good, clean hostels. I would heartily reccommend a Scandinavian visit - I was in Oslo and loved it despite its high prices. I even met a local man called Bjornulf at the final rehearsals at the Telenor and he very kindly gave me,Crawdaddy and 2 others a lift into Oslo Centre afterwards Bj

Quotekleermaker Martha, that's the best and most interesting report I've ever read about a concert experience! Finally you made it to Rome. Particularly I liked to read all the personal details: about the smartphone, the run to the pit, the water bottle, being directed wrong again after the show, the blisters, the dry eyes. Great that you liked Rome as I predicted you would and

On my way, ticketless. Hoping for Pelouse Or or a very close seat. With any luck, they'll sell extra tickets on the day...

Well I'm on my way to Paris, ticketless so one option is to hang around the lucky dip queue and piggy back off someone with a spare... Now on a coach from Oxford to London then catching another from there to Paris..

QuoteDeanGoodman QuotePapo They should skip the webvote, imho...it's become pointless. Agreed, it's just clickbait, they already did this on the Bridges tour, and the vote-counting process would make Robert Mugabe blush. BTW, there's an SNCF and taxi strike here in Paris (naturellement), so allow extra time to/from CDG and anywhere else. I was there in 1998. The web "ch

QuoteGJV I loved that tour too. They sounded a little more raw and dirtier in comparison with the Steel Wheels/ Urban Jungle tour. The setlist had more variations and ofcourse they did the four clubconcerts in Europe, incl for the first time Dylan's Like a Rolling Stone. Also all the VL songs they played live sounded very good, like the songs were just made to play live. Very good versions

My favourite tour. I saw 2 shows - Sheffield 9/7/95 & Wembley 16/7/95. Even by the time they reached Europe, they were still doing 24 songs a night. Wish I saw more shows.

QuotePapo If they don't at SDF sell alcohol I am not going to go... They will Not cheaply though. STILL no ticket for me. I'll be out at St Denis from about noon sniffing around for a spare. I'm hoping for Pelouse Or as I've given up on Pelouse VIP. Will have to get my French up to speed (or is that vitesse) before then

Me! A Swindon based Scot. See you there. I've done it before - twice for the Stones and achieved a 60% and 70% price cuts respectively. Show up at 4-ish and start sniffing about. See my previous post about prep. You'll get in! Be prepared to walk way at silly asking prices. Best not dress in 'Stones Colours' either as they'll sense desperation. Good luck Mr Bris

QuoteNate Quotegrzegorz67 Pelouse Debout may still be fine. It just depends where the catwalk extends out to. The very front of Pelouse Debout should give a decent enough view. There's been no accurate information about the dimensions of the floorplan for Paris yet. There's also the possibility of extra tickets being sold once the stage is built - and they will be seats close to the s

Quoteswiss Quotegrzegorz67 I'm travelling form Oxfordshire, with, at present, no ticket. If I can pick up a Pelouse Or at reasonable cost between now and Wednesday (I head for Paris Thursday am) I'll take it. It will have to be an e-ticket though. Pelouse Or will allow access to the Podium at the End of the Catwalk. I was front row there in Oslo and cannot recommend it highly enough
