Quotegeorgie48 Yes it was! I was at the last concert of that tour, October 9 in Amsterdam. There is some footage of that concert too. Looking back at these clips, many things come back from memory. I lived in Utrecht and the Stones were actually staying at the Holiday Inn in that city. Not many knew, but somehow I did. I still see myself on my bycicle heading for that hotel and looking up to

I have fond memories of George and The Golden Earring. Actually, they were the first (and so far last, due to Covid-19) band I saw perform live. Have seen them a couple of times over the years and like the Stones they adopted a lot of styles and musical trends and made those their own. George also did some nice side projects. I have seen him playing (in Dutch, or should I say "Haags&q

Noticed the extended organ parts at the end of the promo versions. That would be Bill Wyman playing, wouldn't it?

video: After seeing this video I am reminded that Ben Waters sounds as close to Stu as possible. Would not mind hearing him perform with the Stones, either on album or live.

QuoteDeltics Gram Parsons talks about the first time he heard "Wild Horses" in an interview from March, 1973. "The first time I heard it was the night after Altamont". I think Jo Nesbo should put a footnote in his book The Devil's star after listening to this clip. (In the book the hero says something about Mick and Keith stealing Wild Horses from Gram).

QuoteXam Here is one for Rambler at Foxboro still up, making sure I am on topic. And btw- upon close examination at 7:40 going forward, there is NO WAY that is some kind of "old age mistake thing" which so many people were ranting about with Keith. It is absolutely a prank/funny on Mick. At 7:40 they are being chummy and then Mick goes out... and BOOM!!! Keith messes with him. Th

I was surprised Ruby Tuesday ranked this high, even higher than Live with me. I guess the Steel Wheels/Urban Jungle tour had a huge influence.

The first disk has some of the beste grooves the band ever put on record and Keith plays an important role in these.

The second dynasty to rule Russia since 1613. On the night between 16-17 July in 1918 Tsar Nicholas II, Tsarina Alexandra and their five children were executed by Bolshevik troops. Their ser

The Licks Tour was exciting because of the format with three different kinds of shows and the ever changing setlists. It was fun to be surprised at a show, not to know which song will be next. Maybe not all performances were flaweless, but they compensated for that with a great choice of songs.
