It’s a shame they didn’t get this out a few weeks earlier, it would have made a nice holiday treat.

QuoteBig Al QuoteVoodooLounge13 While he has produced a lot of pop songs, musically he seems to be grounded more in the rock world. He plays in Eddie Vedder’s backing band and formed a band with Jason Bonham. He also opened a gig for The Cult. Should be interesting. I did note this too, admittedly. He’s produced Ozzy Osbourne, ass well as Morrissey’s upcoming album. I don’t follow modern-day po

I remember everyone talking at the time about how stationary Keith was during that show, and I remember watching the pay per view live and having the opposite reaction - we’d previously seen him play some _very_ ropey gigs in 2006/7, then some clips surfaced in 2010 or so of him barely able to strum a note, and so I watched the 2012 Newark show so happy that Keith was upright and riffing. It was

Brilliant gig in Seattle last night. Roger’s voice is in spectacular form at the moment. Pete’s guitar ends up a bit buried during the orchestra heavy songs, but when it does cut through it’s as interesting as ever. And seeing him and Simon duet on The Rock is very special.

The Who stopped doing them since 2009 and it doesn’t feel odd at those shows.

On the one hand, I hope it finally means we get some new music, and if they’re working with someone other than Was at last, all the better. But Tedder would have been far from my first choice. Everything he touches sounds like him rather than the artist.

QuoteNikkei I must admit I didn't watch all of it. It just looked so promising with the leafy background and then suddenly there is the red and yellow. Hmm The Hyde Park stage is owned by the venue and used by every act during the summer, since 2013. Different groups make different amount of use of it - Pearl Jam, for instance, who never have screens behind them normally, did turn it on fo

QuoteNikkei Plus the lean touring machine we've seen last month seems to be much dependent on infrastructure provided locally New stages are expensive. In the ‘89-07 era they’d have 100+ shows to pay them off. Now… they amortized the No Filter stage over what, 50 shows or so, but even that was kind of extraordinary, it would be a very risky proposition to bank on the Stones having 50 shows

QuoteRisingStone I didn’t attend HP2. They played 22 songs both nights. And they changed whoppin’ 21 songs between two shows! Porch, the closer of the main set, was the only duplicated song. Did anybody else here see the show(s)? yorkshirestone (and Mirko, perhaps?) posted that they would attend both. Hope to see their comments. Was at HP2. Brilliant gig. In addition to Porch they also d

Also the same stage as in Sweet Summer Sun and every year since, the stage is owned by BST.

QuoteStonedRambler Have they played Sympathy yet? If not it's gonna be Sympathy as an encore I assume? More than any other song, it has to be dark for Sympathy.

QuoteMabru QuoteNikkei Is the bonus IJWMLTY from Amsterdam the same setting like in Twickenham? Were these shows identical down to the shirts? Yes. First plan was to record the Amsterdam show for dvd release. If you look proberly at the Twickenham dvd you also see shots from the Arena mixed in Was that derailed by Keith and Ronnie being completely out of it for Amsterdam?

I’m not sure why everyone’s so down on the sound of this. I’m listening to it now, and apart from wanting a bit more bass sometimes, it’s just fine. It was a v good gig, too.

I hope the video is available to purchase digitally at some point. EDIT: It is available, it just wasn't showing up in search particularly well.

I'm also thinking about going in for Seattle, I saw this tour when it was at T-Mobile Park in fall of '19 and it was great, would be fun to see it indoors too. Roger is singing great in these shows, Pete's guitar playing seems a bit less fluent than usual, but maybe it's just shaking two years of rust off.

QuoteIrix Quotetiffanyblu looks boring right now. guess the screens will decide. dont like the cheap look of 2014 Maybe it'll look similar to the Hyde Park 2013 stage - but without the trees (different decoration instead). That stage belongs to the festival.

Hey Keith, as your LPJ will no longer be needed following this poster’s request, I’d be happy to look after it for you.

Quotebitusa2012 Quotejmd Sure, if you’ve seen him before, there’s a lot of “been there done that”. As compared to the always freshly updated Stones setlist? McCartney’s setlists make the Stones’ look incredibly varied. Which isn’t necessarily a criticism of either group, they all do their own thing. McCartney’s Fall 2005 tour - 38 dates across the US - featured not one single change across

QuoteBeastyBurdeny Quotetommycharles I don’t know why I expected anything different but I am sort of amused that the setlist is identical to the Fall 2019 one. Couldn’t have used the time to work up a couple of different tracks, boys? I keep hoping the will try A Quick One with the orchestra. I think that could be more successful than the tepid attempt in 2016 or 2017 (whenever that was) ‘14/

This Keith interview about Main Offender and the Winos was really good, I thought. Far more lucid than he was in interviews 20 years ago.

Quotedaspyknows Its a special wristband only area where you have access to gold circle east (and possibly west) areas. There are bathrooms with no lines, bars and food plus shade. Yeah, that sounds more like what they’re doing for PJ (though not for the same price, ha…).

Quoteronniewoody91 QuoteCooltoplady The last time the Stones sold seats behind the stage was 1999 No Security tour. And it was awful The Hyde Park VIP Hideaway tickets also are behind the stage, like wtf... I don’t know if Hyde Park is working differently for the Stones, but for Pearl Jam a couple of weeks later, the Hideaway area is mostly just a separate food/drink area, you also have acces

QuoteValeswood Quotetommycharles Given the damp squib that the 2017 TCT Tommy turned out to be, probably just as well Pete sat that Tommy tour out. Don't agree with this at all. I was at the first night of 2017 TCT and thought it was fantastic. Of course it was not The Who of 1970 but to hear the whole album played live was just brilliant. I will take your word for that if you were
