I think the bass of TIYS resembles the opening guitar of HTH but I could just be hearing things. The songs were on my classic rock station close to each other and the way the bass line went it sounded as note structure of the opening riff to HtH

For those master guitar players who can pick up different riffs in their head is talking in your sleep by the Romantics pretty much a rip off of AC/DC's highway to hell?

Just chiming in...yes I think a box set with various songs from the artists who played plus the complete Stones set should be released.

Quotealimente For Philadelphia 1972 I recall that these were the best sources: POST : SB ; Philadelphia 07-21-1972 1st Show FLAC-ZIP Files POST : SB ; Philadelphia 07-21-1972 2nd Show FLAC-ZIP Files Those were uploaded by the great UrbanSteel in 2007 already, received little attention at the time, but when I had the time to compare these to various boots (and my collection of

QuoteMidnightGambler Obviously MSG 69 (Ya Ya's) and Brussels 73, and CERTAINLY NOT Nashville 2015 (I was at that concert). Ron Wood IS NOT Mick Taylor!!! if you understand that, you have the key of the Rolling Stones music... It is a shame that the MR version of the Brussels evening show has not been released. Does somebody know the reason why? I was at the Nashville show this year and

I am a fan of the Eagles but I do not hear anything that resembles Stones-like sound with the Eagles. Solo like Taylor? Not to be critical but I do not see that either.

QuoteTravelinMan Quotebigmac7895 I noticed Ronnie was playing more in Brown Sugar than I am used to hearing him play since the 75 tour- but I felt he played a little conservative when he could have added a little solo (if he is allowed to) especially since everyone has heard Clapton's take on the solo by now. Are you referring to the version with Clapton on slide? It sounds very similar t

I'm fairly positive that Clapton played on an early version of Brown Sugar since it is on the newly reissued deluxe of Sticky Fingers. At any rate, would love for Ronnie to take a solo like that on this song after the sax solo either with a slide or picking like MT.

Thanks Drake for the link. WOW is all I have to say with that being an audience recording. The only audience recordings I have ever heard this good were from the mid-90s when the Black Crowes had some tapers right at the stack and the equipment was good so the tapes sounded excellent... but yours is awesome! When I went to the Nashville 2002 show, I downloaded an audience recording just to have i

Thanks Drake for your review. I agree with most of your points and that explains why I didn't hear the choir until the 3 lines before the start of the song in YCAGWYW. While you are correct on Tumbling Dice messing up at the start and the ending, the meat in the middle was solid. I thought Far Away Eyes was the highlight of the show and it was perfect for the occasion. I thought Ronnie

Nashville crowd was lively- lots of singing and dancing. The restaurants all over Nashville were crowded with Stones fans before the concert.

This is only the second time I have had a chance to see the Stones. The other time was in 2002 and they put on a great show then. I have a ton of bootlegs so I have heard hundreds of shows outside of the official live released. Yes, I am a Taylorite, but love the Brian and Ronnie eras also. Scale 5-excellent, 4-above average, 3- average. No songs will be graded below average as they rocked the h

I may have already posted this, but what I think would be cool is to have: Paul Rodgers (vocals) Rich Robinson (rhythm) Mick Taylor (lead) Bass (Whoever that would fit) Simon Kirke (drums) And they tour playing Free/Bad Company and a few Stones/Black Crowes type numbers.

While some may say it was an attempt to be like the Beatles, outside of the cover and some of the sound, it is all Stones. I wish this was the tracklisting: Sing This All Together Citadel* In Another Land 2000 Man* --> Dandelion* --> We Love You* She's a Rainbow* The Lantern Gomper 2000 Light Years from Home* --> Child of the Moon* On with the Show Sing Th

QuoteNaturalust QuoteHearMeKnockin QuoteNaturalust QuoteHearMeKnockin And if MT's going to put a band together I say Bill should be on bass no matter what. He should just go ahead and steal Charlie (and Chuck) too. That would just work on so many levels. peace Mm, that it would, except then the Stones would need Anita to raise Nicky and Stu back from the dead. And Brian too, so that

Darryl is great. When they played Emotional Rescue, he came up with at a new whole groovy bass line, which took the song to a whole new level, totally different from Wyman's bass line. No disrespect to Bill, but didn't Ronnie play bass on Emotional Rescue?

I recently purchased this version and 4 tracks were downloaded. Apple decided to charge me one dollar and and $.29 per track. I reported it as a problem since I bought the whole Deluxe Edition for $19.99. Has anyone else had this problem?

Sorry haven't had a chance to answer- yes the incomplete CYHMK... When I ordered on iTunes, I received 3 tracks right away. Is there an alternate full version that I am unaware of?

I went ahead and preordered on iTunes. I like the CYHMK... It would be better if Jagger was not singing rubbish and just allow Keef and MT weave.

Thanks for the input. I pre-ordered the 2 disc set on Amazon so I already get the automatic MP3 download. Was hoping they would just sell the Live at Leeds disc... but at any rate, I guess I could pay the 19.99 on iTunes to get Leeds. Much better than $ 150. If anyone finds out anything different, please email me or look up this thread and post. Thanks. bigmac7

I looked at the Sticky Fingers box set and see it is there. I have had the boot in excellent condition for years but missing the first two tracks. I see there are restored on the official release and I definitely want it. My question- does anyone know if it will be released separate of the box set OR is it simply a money grab by the Stones knowing the diehard fans will throw down the $ 150 to

I agree with Naturalust. When I stated earlier that this version is great I should have added if it were real, it was a great find. Sounds to me someone laying what they think it would have sounded like on top of an actual alternate unfinished track.

Keith Sewell who played with Skaggs years ago can pick it like Chet and Alvin. Gatton was a pretty good choice also.

So is Wild Horses here a fake or a version from a bootleg that I have never heard before? I read fake on 2 posts and someone else claims it is Sneaky Pete.

While the Wild Horses pedal steel version sounds nice, isn't this a fake? Someone playing a true alternate version without all the guitars and adding a pedal steel? I know originally they were trying to use Sneaky Pete- that's how Gram got to releases the FBB version first.

I thought the lead in ADTL was a battle between Taylor on slide and Jagger on harp.

Thanks for the posts. I'll listen for Brown Sugar in Strutter (is it in the riff?), I think what I'm hearing in Got to Choose is a modification of Satisfaction. Petty definitely ripped off that song for Refugee though- heard it on the radio again and when the opening occurred, I could sing KISS' song with the riff. Not a huge Kiss fan, just trying to stir up some discussions on
