Met Peter at the Rock and Shock Convention in Worcester MA a couple of weekends back. I can't tell you how great he was. He had a big table, but would come out from behind it and hug each fan that approached, telling them how happy he was to see them and to thank them for coming out. He answered any question you had, listened to any story you had to tell him about seeing KISS or having hi

The first tour that I really remember people going "What!?" over ticket prices was the Jacksons "Victory" tour in 1984. Tickets were $30 each, BUT you had to buy them in blocks of four which put the price over the top for a lot of people....

Anyone know the length of this thing? I'm not talking about the theater version or the HBO version, but are they going to try and shoehorn 50 years in two hours or will the DVD release be more like the multi-disk Beatles Anthology?

Quoteduke richardson listen to the song, the first verse is about Clarence White and his early tragic death the second verse I believe is about his friend Keith Richards 'and another young man..safely strung..his silver string guitar..'' clearly a different subject I think you need to listen to the song. The first verse about the car accident is about Brandon De Wilder

Quoteduke richardson I believe his stepfather is responsible for the design of this grave marke, but I don't believe the lyrics written by Gram with Emmylou Harris, in "In My Hour Of Darkness" are anything Gram wrote about himself and I don't think Gram was 'just a country boy" and his songs were intentionally not 'simple' I believe Gram wrote t

QuoteDiscoVolante It's a nice moment in what I think is their best ever live performance of JJF. Very good performance indeed, but why all the focus on Jagger? The camera doesn't move away from him during the whole song. The camera barely moves away from him during the whole movie.....

According to the email I just got, there is going to be a super special deluxe edition of GRRR! released. In addition to a book, postcards, a poster, some vinyl and 4CDs with 80 songs, there will be a bonus CD included. Any thoughts to what will be on the bonus CD?

I was really hoping for a Beatles Anthology type release. I wonder if what is being shown on TV and in theaters will just be a taste and the DVD/Blu Ray release will be far longer....

Everyone mentions Sweet Neo-Con on Bigger Bang, but for some reason, Dangerous Beauty slipped under the radar when talk about political songs comes up.

Quote71Tele SNL usually devotes time to two musical numbers, in VERY rare cases, three. So are we supposed to believe MJ is going to play with Arcade Fart, Food Fight and Nigel Tufnel (I mean Jeff Beck) and STILL play with the Stones? Both The Band and the Grateful Dead played four songs during their appearances on SNL, so there is a precedent....

Mick has been a guest on Howard's show so I really doubt he was all that bothered by Howard's antics. He knows what Howard's about so he just went along with it. Some of you are reading way too much into it or projecting your own feelings onto Mick....

Never understood why every interviewer needs to ask Carly THAT question. She's not going to answer it and it's just boring, like asking about a Beatles reunion. Who knows, maybe if you don't ask, she'll be so shocked that she'll blurt out the answer?

Looks like Robbie got in to see him before it was too late. Shame this didn't happen years ago, it's always at the end when people realize how little those battles really mean: Last week I was shocked and so saddened to hear that my old band mate, Levon, was in the final stages of his battle with cancer. It hit me really hard because I thought he had beaten throat cancer and had no

Quotetatters Incredible to think that the Beatles entire catalog was recorded in just seven years. Seven years is how long it's been since the release of the last Stones album. Not just the catalog, but they also squeezed in the movies, the t.v. shows, the radio shows and the world wide tours in those 7 years. No wonder they were burned out by 1969.

I always liked that scene in Let It Be when the well dressed businessman calmly climbs up the fire escape to stand on a roof to watch the Beatles play. The other thing is that the rooftop gig was five years from when the Beatles played on the Ed Sullivan show and you wouldn't even guess they were the same band, you certainly wouldn't have expected them to break out She Loves You or I W
