It's all about styles. Charlie is tops at what he does. It's pointless to compare him with Keith Moon or Cozy Powell as they are sooooo different. Charlie keeps a steady beat and uses one of the smallest kits in rock history. Moonie's kit was huge in comparison. I think that Charlie's own reticence means that he doesn't rate himself as a good rock drummer. I bel

Worst has to be Satanic Majesties: shrouded in an LSD cloud of hippiedom that never sat comfortably with the Stones. Also agree with other postings re Flashpoint. Never liked Undercover artwork. My personal faves are:- Still Life: love the artwork Love You Live: Mick to a "T" Goats Head Soup (Keef looks positively charred) Its Only RnR: again artwork The slide out/cut

Old El Paso I love Dead Flowers and Sister Morphine Never been too enamoured of the country scene. It gets ridiculed over here. I do apreciate some of the cuts though.

It's a real kickback track and I've loved it ever since I heard it for the first time. The Stones have always been an underrated ballad act. Some of the tracks just make the hair on the back of my deck stand on end.

Jack Daniels is Whiskey. Whisky in the English sense is Scotch such as Bells/Johnnie Walker etc. Your single Malts also come in here. Jim Beam is bourbon. Jack Daniels is a Tennessee Sour Mash Whiskey. I got into JD cuz Keith drank it. I've never looked back. Thanks Keith!!

All Stones books that refer to this period say that Keith only rented the joint. It was something to do with the fact that he wasn't a French resident and the rules at the time prevented "foreigners" buying property in France.

Surely the whole point of life R n R is to accept it warts and all? It shows that the artists are human and that technological polishing is for the studio? I positively welcome such instances, gigs are LIVE and as such will include such "mistakes". It's what makes live music so special.

Don't bother unless you are a fan of Moroccan pipe music! I brought it during my "gotta get it cuz it contains Mick/Keef/Brian/Bill/Charlie/Mick T/Ronnie phase". I found it very hard work! Best solo Stones stuff are Keith's first solo release Talk is Cheap & Ronnie's early 70's stuff notably I've Got My Own Album to do. And of you like Jazz check

A few years ago Bowie asked his fans to vote for the songs that they wanted him to perform on his last tour. This worked well and gave he punter a gig to remember

I keep mine covered up at work as I have to wear formal business attire. From a personal point of view I feel that a tatoo is a personal statement. Having to be soberly dressed at work leads me down the "I might look normal but underneath I'm a rocker at heart" route. It enables me to retain a level of individualism in a grey suit! DVD of the film was given away in the UK Sundat Times last weekend. I saw the movie several years ago and loved the Stones sections but was nonplussed by the rest of the movie. Watching the track develop from it's original strummed version is mesmerising.
