My favorite record store in the universe ! everytime I am in Nashville I can easily spend the better part of a day there, picking country, gospel and hard to find books and videos. The fact that its being sold KILLS me ! Maybe the Country Music Hall of Fame or some well-to-do Nashville musicians will step in and buy the place and keep it going ! Its been around since 1947, and at it current loc

Any love for this album here ? I just started to re-listen to it again and am struck by how it seemed to be the Kinks "Beggars Banquet" Lots of acoustic, country blues, great slide guitar all over it, good songs--- Wish they had kept this up instead of all those soap operas that Davies became infatuated with in the early-mid 70's Arthur / Muswell Hillbillies / Lola versus

Keith's solos stuff has been interesting and enjoyable, Mick had Wandering Spirit Ronnie has had a couple, but overall I would say that the Beatles solo stuff has been a lot stronger. All Things Must Pass, Band on the Run, Ram, Plastic Ono Band, Imagine, all have been hailed as masterpieces and have stood the test of time. Even these late period Mccartney solo releases have been really g

Was playing cards earlier with friends and had the radio on-- Springsteens "Blinded by the Light" came on and I could not believe how 'cringe" worthy that song was: "little early pearly came by in his curly wurly and asked me if I needed a ride" ---I mean, WTF Any songs that make you cringe when you hear them ?

Ever hear the album he made with Mylon Lafevre "On The Road to Freedom " back in the 70's ? Really solid album that also featured Harrison, Ronnie Wood, Mick Fleetwood and others--

Sorry to be the voice of "unreason" in regards to the BOSS-- BUT-- I was the most excited fan of Springsteen in 72,73,75,78 his shows were phenomenal ! I attended many at that time-some the best I had ever seen! His recorded outut from 72-78 was incredible--- but somewhere the line he became Woody Guthrie and lost then plot

WTF was that commercial all about...? So sick of Springsteen trying to be the voice and soul of America..... man what a bore. Selling jeeps now..... The guy is from the Jersey shore and he was trying to look like Clint Eastwood.. Also someone ought to tell him that new Marine haircut looks like crap. Do what you do best, play rock n roll music. Leave the rest to Woody Guthrie.

Always loved this song by the Byrds-- spoke with Mcguinn once via e-mail and he told me that Bob Dylan and he wrote the song together, but that Dylan let him have all the writing credits. Like this version of the song !

I thought the first couple Mothers albums were interesting , I liked Hot Rats and "Weasels Ripped My Flesh", but overall I never understood the "genius" tag that Zappa attained. I find a LOT of his stuff unlistenable. He did that live show with Lennon at the Fillmore that was ok, but he wound up angry at Lennon / ono because he felt they ripped him off somehow, although on
