Quoteteleblaster QuoteKillRill Lagavulin 16 Oh Yes! A lovely whisky. Price has risen in recent years and now retails for about 50% more than comparable malts, e.g., Laphroaig. Fifteen years ago they all cost roughly the same unless you were going for a particularly special - i.e., rare / expensive / old - bottle. Some tourist pubs used to charge by the age, so Lagavulin sometimes cost more th

Quotelapaz62 Capercaillie, Oh King of Heaven, love is a terrible affliction.[/ Capercaillie are not Irish but from the west coast of Scotland. They are fantastically talented and lead singer Karen Mathieson has the voice of an angel. Explore. Also try Runrig for Rock/Scottish Folk fusion.

QuoteBeast So because we in the UK got an abridged version of the DVD via BBC, we won't be getting the full version on the big screen?? Come on, get your act together won't you, Eagle Vision?? This is so annoying as although Park audience was truly international the largest number were UK citizens. Why exclude us? If recent cinema experiences in UK of Stones films is anything to go by

Another outside perspective. I was talking to a young woman (30sh) who lives locally. She is from London and gone to gig with several other friends and family. All first time at Stones gig. They wanted to tick the box of "things to do" and did not expect much. She was totally blown away. Described the band as fantastic and the experience as unbelievable. Best live concert she has atte

Atmosphere, build up, anticipation. Just a thought. The Vaccines got the audience attention and got some reaction. The gap before the Stones came on was quiet and muted. Sound system very low and I cannot remember any tracks never mind good sounds. A missed opportunity to crowd please and build up the anticipation and atmosphere. I have many memories of the opposite at previous outdoor gigs with

Quotebelld Quoteteleblaster It was a great show. As has already been stated, there were a huge amount of young people in the audience and this was their first Stones gig. I lost count of the number of times I heard people remarking that this was the best show they had ever experienced. It was a great crowd and a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day. The sound was crystal clear and the band on

Currently on holiday in Western Isles but have my brother checking mail back home. Nothing as of yesterday therefore I called them last night. Response was - " We are currently processing them alphabetically and A and B surnames will be posted tomorrow." So pleased I am not Mr Young! Could not be bothered challenging them given all the previous shit visited on others.
