This and the cancelation of many artist needlessly happens all the time due to the insurance policies covering the show. The underwrites require that the crew set-up the show and that the artist has a doctor see them a few hours before showtime before they allow a cancellation to be insured, even if the artist knows he/she won't be performing that night. This costs everyone involved includin

Cohl's been doing Stones, U2, Streisand lately, I think he can handle Madge. He runs a pretty well oiled machine.

stones have done private corporate gigs as have most in demand bands. hawaii is a common denominator. free trip to hawaii, a few million beans, and a short set on the beach. who can blame em?

no turd not a "season in hell" only affluent a%$wipes could think this. look around the world at the problems and you're crying about your little rs fan club. people threatening legal action over a ballcap? sad mate. the judge would kick your as# for bringing such stupidity to a courtroom. take a deep breath and think about what you guys are saying....

we agree fully. i think MJ is such a perfectionist he's scared to do alot of back cat. they'll rehearse a song to death then not play it, often. he's also worried the old guitar boys will get lost (rightfully), he also loves those sing alongs.

i think we agree gazza-i don't see it as a positive trend, it just makes sense to me. maybe you're right that more people know the catalogue than im predicting, i don't know but it just seems to be working. "rainbow" bad example but you know what i mean, and its been 4 years i think-they're all blending together I know mate. i love the obscure stuff and would never l

Gazza-the stones had no corporate sponsor on their last europe tour. and also, like the dead, springsteen plays alot more and likes it that way. his show has bare bones light, sound video etc and costs WAY less to put on. for example when he does stadium shows they load in day of show saving a ridiculous amount of money on labor, salaries etc. As far as financial risk-there is none-for either act

i think the stones are right to play the sets they play. the hardcore-go to a bunch of shows folks are an extreme minority and the band want to give the majority of punters what they want, makes sense to me. the hardcores can get a slow silky 19th nervous if they're good enough fanatics to get in say "the phoenix". think of the energy in o2 if they played "she's a rainbow

no expectations-maybe a nut did fall on my head but i stand by what i said. what do you mean by "barely a song repeated"? like only 4 or 5? you should have heard the setlist whingers, they were worse than the ones here if thats possible. "playing in the band...again!" agree with you gazza. the dead played all the time. i remember i saw them 50 times one year and i was in colle

you guys would have hated the dead setlists as well. they played loads of "warhorses" every night and were quite predictable. I was a deadhead and could pretty much call what the whole set would be based on the first song of the show. they played more songs because they played alot more shows. the great exception was when they played as the "warlocks" at hampton arena and pull
