McCartney- always good for a snide comment. And Lennon was just pure mean. I quit listening to the Beatles, probably after I got into “ Get Your Ya Ya’s Out” But I do love “All Things Must Pass”.

QuoteRocktiludrop Quotedrwatts I love seeing Ronnie rocking! He really had me worried earlier this year. Go Ronnie Go!!! Yes but he's got me worried now, something's not right with his playing, solos are completely off, he seems distracted to me. kinda sensed that too in Charlotte. He’s playing very good, it’s got something very subtle that’s missing though. Only 3 shows in, he’ll

there’s been band member deaths in the Stones, and I’m sure it was different for them when Brian died, they were in their 20’s.. then Ian Stewart passed.. different then too. Maybe Charlie’s passing likely rocked them to the core.

Just watched the video of Gimme Shelter. Greatness still there , still powerful, we know Charlie would approve.

QuoteElmo Lewis QuoteBitchKeepsBitchin Last minute decision to hit up Charlotte - will try to get there in time for the pre-parties. Also looking for a spare ticket but I'm not worried since there are plenty of tickets still unsold. If anyone is stuck with an extra ticket let me know. Look me up, BKB. Going to The Public House Thursday afternoon. I'll be the cool, good looking dud

Several changes to the main riff in Slave .. it is an edited track, and one I’d be very surprised to see tried live. Although what a great one to try !

This interview is strange, and even stranger is this story about Charlie. in all the remarks about Charlie, in interviews with Keith, or Mick, or any others connected with the band none have mentioned this about Charlie not sleeping. I believe Bill decided it would be funny to take part of a story attributed to Keith, about not sleeping for several days.. and ascribe it to Charlie. I rememb

Quoteandrewt Quotestones1962 I always thought Charlie's drumming on "Dandelion" was one of his best as well. Rob Those fills at the end are outstanding. One of my favourites as well. Can't You Hear Me Knocking & Slave would be a good additions to the list as well. I also have a weakness for the snare hits on If You Can't Rock Me (Among many others, naturall

Quotelem motlow The band that will be behind Mick is nowhere near as good as the New Barbarians. They had Mac and Bobby with Zig and Stanley Clarke. Nothing against Steve and Daryl but they’re not in the same league, session players do their job but that’s about it. The Rolling Stones means something, you’re seeing greatness on display.original styles, one of a kind unique musicians. Jagger w

It matters a great deal that Steve Jordan has such a long history with the Stones, particularly Keith. Of course he’ll play to support them and will do so with soul and finesse if required.. (‘You Got The Silver’). I look forward to seeing videos of this so I can see what he does on ‘Rambler’ .. ‘Paint It Black’ all of them, really.. it’s interesting thinking of them with such a key seat and Cha

Quoteterraplane Kenny Jones would have been a better choice if he is still around. Get well Charlie. Health comes first a better choice .. he’s friends with them and is a great drummer, and maybe would do a good job but look Steve Jordan is so obviously who they would have if Charlie needed a sub.

QuoteMongoose My very first Rolling Stones concert, and I thought it might be the only time I would have to see them. Turns out there were nine more shows to go, up to the Zip Code tour. There does not seem to be any kind of bootleg of even one song from this show, but I still keep my hopes up. Anyone else out there at the Greensboro Coliseum on July 31, 1975, Tour of the Americas? Just be glad this band is touring. This is very rare. They are out to “grow this thing up” as Keith has said many times. Well yes this thing has gone past growing up.. let’s see what the number one practitioners do with it now.

How interesting on several levels it would be to see McCartney come out and play a few tunes with The Rolling Stones. It’s clear he’s happy and still loves to play, watching this 321 with Rick Rubin. He could fit in on Ruby Tuesday.. or maybe It’s Only Rock and Roll.. lots of possibilities ..

just started watching this. It’s cool.. listening to McCartney go back and reminisce on these songs .. good music history, great for fans. I listened to the Beatles intermittently while becoming a serious Stones fan. You gotta hand it to Paul though. What a great songwriter and bassist. Not a bad singer either.

I don’t agree those songs are mediocre, on Infidels. That album is strong, but these bootleg tracks are intriguing.
