Tele -- I think your posts on this subject make a lot of sense, but just to clarify -- I think most of those that criticize Taylor for playing too much lead are not talking so much about the solos, but his playing lead over the vocals. My personal opinion is in between -- some of that "noodling" works for me and some doesn't. I often think Ronnie's playing fits a song better

Good thread, Erik -- I like the mix a lot. I think the sound has more depth than the bootlegs and it's generally well-balanced. On the other hand, this release sounds more "managed" (because it is) -- so, sonically, it lacks the untamed engergy of the bootlegs, which may be a bit of what Doxa was talking about in Rambler.
