Interesting that, as of my posting this, this guitar doesn't register on Gibson's home site. Nice looking guitar, but a bit pricey. Here's a link I found re Mister Wood on Gibson's site re his playing style.

From USA Today this past February: "Kid Rock had such success with his 2013 Best Night Ever Tour, where tickets cost $20 and beers just $4, that he'll be doing it again this summer. Only this time, he's bringing Foreigner along. "You get to see Kid Rock and Foreigner for 20 dollars — if you don't like that, go (expletive) yourself," Rock says of the tour, which

"some things you just can't explain to people. I mean, it's like telling someone what raw oysters taste like, if you never had them...." Ummm...most of my family loves raw oysters, oyster stew, fried oysters, and so on and so forth. Me, tried them once and came to know this as good a description of raw oysters as any - sea loogers. Feel the same about sushi - no will do. As

There are 204 countries (possibly more) in the world? I would venture that Dylan on his Neverending Tour has visited most, if not all. Will the Stones be next?

Mick and Keith as the odd couple? Aren't they that now? Anyways, I like the idea of this. The question is who will play Felix and who will play Oscar?

That damn Dylan sucker punched me with his new album and his homage to Frank. I'm listening to a recording of Sinatra live on the Sirius/XM Sinatra channel. Nice jazz piano/combo behind Frank. If you get satellite radio, check out the Sinatra channel.

Bob's take on film noir with a cut from his new album. It's out there, in there and very cool, IMHO. Would love to see the Stones do some videos of their songs doing something similar in terms of a mini-movie. Enjoy.

"Geronimo's Cadillac" by Michael Martin Murphey. It's based on a photograph of the Apache medicine man, Geronimo, actually driving a Cadillac (very old Caddie, obviously) across the reservation he had been exiled to after his capture by the U-S government.

To quote James Kirk - "There is barely anything in the setlist post 1981. That's too bad because they have produced some quality music since then." I had to check on this and you are right. The albums Undercover, Dirty Work, Steel Wheels, Voodoo Lounge, Bridges to Babylon, A Bigger Bang all contain good songs. You gotta wonder why cuts from these albums aren't part of the l

I love the "la la la la Lovely Linda" dragging on a cigarette. I'm sure Paul must've been pulling on something stronger from the look in his eyes.

Cam across this group today. This is the kind of sh*t th Stones should be looking at re a new album. Back to basics - straight ahead blues, rock. country. This is music, IMHO, like in the high energy/hungry days of "The Rolling Stones Now". The Stones doing a Hank Williams song or two would be so cool along with some other country style tunes. I would love to hear Mi

Well, I can tell y'all, that ain't a cut from Night Beat (btw, a pretty good album) by the late great Sam Cooke. He was dead long before Sweet Virginia. The soundcloud clip reminds me of the old days, the bold days, the haze days, when wine women and song and feelin' groovy was a way of life. We'd sit around with acoustic guitars, maybe some bongos and/or a tambourine, guzzlin

Carrie Rodriguez - Tragic. She and Chip Taylor, the writer of Wild Thing, did an album or two a few years ago. The album's are well worth finding. As a solo she's also very good. Check her out on U-toob.

Once again, I'm hitting on the Sinatra channel on Sirius/XM satellite radio. I love those old standards if they're done well and not just rehashes by aging pop/rock stars.

From treaclefingers re my comment on the Dead Kennedys - "Don`t you remember your Dad telling you that when you were listening to Brown Sugar?" Actually, what dad said, much earlier, was, while watching the Ed SUllivan show here in the U-S-of-A back in the day, one time when the Stones came on: "Look at them. Just look at them. They're disgusting. Why don't you like th

Re the Dead Kennedys Nazi Punks: Not to knock anyone's taste - we all have our likes and dislikes - but it's still amazing to me how some bands try to pass off sh*t for shock or some kind of artistic statement and people fall for it.

Can we all agree that Obama is responsible for every fluckin' thing that's wrong in the world today and our own lives - missing socks, missing love, forgotten anniversaries, being late for work, burnt meals, flat tires, etc., - and move on from there. As nankered puts it, let's have some fun and constructive thoughts about what in the hell we want in a new Stones album. A great

Re the security guard who is also a psychiatrist and the weapons at his/her disposal to control/push Keith/Mick, I would suggest an isolation room for whomever (out of Mick/Keith) gets out of hand. This room would run 24/7 images of Brian Jones with a vocal admonition for Mick/Keith to get back to and be true to the band's roots. Whomever got out of hand would have to spend a minimum of at l
