Okay, here's the BBC stuff. As mentioned, part 2 is visually good, but audio impaired. If anyone can make part 2 well again, we'd all be appreciative. Some more Kinks in a few days. Enjoy! BBC1 BBC2

Here's some Kinks stuff as promised. The first is a collection of tunes from KSAN in San Francisco. The BBC stuff is from the same broadcast. BBC part 1 is really good; BBC 2 is fine visually, but a mess audio wise. Whomever did part 2 apparently screwed up the recording speed for the audio. I'm posting it in hopes that there is some really great audio wizard out there who can correct t

WHile awaiting some Kinks and other goodies, I thought the blues fans who hang out here might like this. It's a show honoring T-Bone (Walker, I presume). It's a continuous file so please be patient DL'ing. Enjoy! T-Bone Tribute 1990

He and the misses were at an exclusive resort on Fiji when he fell out of a palm tree, according to a news release from a Fiji t.v. station. What the hell he was doing up in a palm tree is anybody's guess. Too many vodkas and orange juice? Misses Keith wanted a fresh coconut as a souvenier of their time together? At least Rod's aging well....

I say we should all go out with a bang. I've never seen more than five minutes of American Idol...that was enough. As for Rod, it's pretty sad that the bland bland bland American songbook is what's keeping him going. At least we can be somewhat happy that, as sad and tragic as his death was, Elvis ain't out there draggin' his butt around singing Hound-dog for the 17th mil

Which Herbie Mann album is this from? Taylor also played on Mann's "Reggae" album, if my memory serves me well, and did some great solo work on this album also.

Sure as heck beats the studio album. I remember this as the audition album where they were looking for a new playmate for Keith. MM was my favorite cut, followed by Melody. Hot Stuff, IMO, was the Stones answer to disco, right up there with the Eagle's One of These Nights and Rod Stewart's D'Ya Think I'm Sexy. Along with an all blues album, I'd love to hear a Stones album

The entire world of capturing streaming audio, file formats and rates, etc., is brand new to me. Like most computer things, I'll eventually learn how to use different helpers, programs, etc., but the learning curve right now is still long. Any help from others is greatly appreciated. Okay, I've DL'd Audacity and read through the help section. I must confess...I still can't figure out what I need to do to record a streaming audio feed. What I'm trying to do is record Neil Young's new album off of his web site (neilyoung.com). You click on the bumper of the car and the new album plays. What steps do I take to record the album using the Audacity program?

This is a great addition to some of the other early Stones stuff that's been posted. I find the early stuff much more blues and r&b oriented, though, you can hear the change a comin'. I guess it was Brian Jones' deep love of the blues that kept the band grounded in the bluesy sounds in the early years. After hearing Mick and Keith on the Jimmy Rogers All Stars album a few years

The interviews are what they are. They're rather short and I would guess they are used to give a feel for the period. If I come across anything else, I'll post it.
