I know what you mean about the crowds in Northern Europe. In 1998, I had just moved to Sweden for college and attended the show in Oslo (August 2, I think). After camping outside for twelve hours and making my way to the front row, I lit up a joint (which I thought was well deserved at that point) and I got looks from the people around me like I had just murdered someone. I remember wondering if

I think that Soul Survivor is the one song on that record that they could have done more with. The guitar riffs sound great, but the song doesn't quite fulfil its promise in my view.

You can play outdoors in late September in Spain and France, for sure. Northern Europe is a bit more of a problem (perhaps not so much Brussels), but they may be able to squeeze those shows between those already scheduled in July and August.

I can't think of anything better I could ask of them. Alas, as elating as it would be, I don't think there is the slightest chance that is going to happen.

Well, they are not all "albums" but here we go: 1. Ya Ya's 2. Hampton, VA 1981 3. Handsome Girls 1978 4. Brussels Definitive Affair 1973 5. Atlantic City 1989 Top 5 Non-Stones: 1. Pink Floyd: Pulse (The live version of the Dark Side of the Moon is hair-raising) 2. Dave Matthews Band: The Central Park Concert 3. Pearl Jam: Live On Two Legs 4. Nirvana: Unplugged in

This is really a song that I wish they would play more and play better. My absolute favorite versions are: Handsome Girls, Disc 1 (1978); perhaps even better, though the sound quality is a bit more ragged, is the version on the 1972 Unreleased Decca Album.

I read somewhere that Mick hates the way Exile sounds. Wouldn't it be great if they got together in the spirit of the Stripped sessions and came out with a new, alternative edition of it? Better yet, I would love for them to pull a Pink Floyd on us and play the entire album at a live show. May not be appropriate for a stadium show, but it would be awesome in a club or even arena.

True, the Fenway shows weren't too good from the standpoint of either the performance or the acoustics (they were the first two shows of the tour, so we might want to give them a break;

Other than the 4 ABB shows (Fenway, Moncton, Albany, TDB Garden), I saw Fiona Apple at the Orpheum Theater in December. So good. So beautiful.

Will do. I am even going to take the chance of wearing the t-shirt to my date on Saturday. Who knows, I may even get the opportunity to sing "'cause you're a Star!#@&er, Star!#@&er, Star!#@&er, Star!#@&er, Star" that night (and then, of course, be promptly dumped and quite possibly hospitalized)

Two of my favorite songs. I must say, however, that Sympathy has sounded pretty bad in each of the shows I have seen this tour. I wish they would get more into it (the Twickenham version from FOur Flicks is wonderful) rather than leave it to the flame-throwers to dazzle the crowd.

On this subject, I was also thinking about getting a Rolling Stones-themed tattoo. One thought that crossed my mind is to get the "European China Girl" that appeared on the 1978 tour poster. What do you guys think? I am still in the planning stage, so could use some advice.

The statement is the best news we got in a while. And he is not looking too bad in the picture either. I am feeling quite hopeful again. See you on June 22 Keith!

You know, I probably misspoke when I said he is "worthless" (but replaceable is probably what the rest of the band also thought). And it is true he is a great bass player. It could be that my words were colored by the fact that I have always thought he was a bit of a creep. Must have something to do with the whole thing about having a relationship with (and eventually marrying) a 13 yea

I speak Italian and my Spanish is a little weak, but here's my best shot: The concert scheduled for 5/29 in Madrid was moved to the second half of June due to the the injury sustained by Keith. We will keep you informed on the exact date. The tickets will still be valid for the new date; in the meantime, we advise that you hold on to the tickets you purchased. The reasons for the postpone

Bill Wyman is worthless - utterly replaceable. That he is not a businessman like Mick is apparent. Maybe that's why he's so bitter.

Look, by all indications the Rolling Stones could go on a long time if Keith recovers. Mick is just in fantastic shape; Keith looked great strutting all over the stage before this whole incident. Besides, they look like they still have a great time together. The issue is not whether they *can* withstand another grueling, year-long tour, but whether they would want to. I don't know about the

I used to have a cat named Mick, though that turned out to be a bad name when he started gaining so much weight that he barely moved from his spot by the window (mostly to get more food). He was nutured, too. He is now presumed dead after a bastard "friend" of mine who was supposed to take care of him for a while let him out the house - never to be seen again.
