Quotedrewmaster Very nice segment, Keith as cool and charming as ever. One minor quibble - when the voice-over says "Richards has released three albums with the Winos" the screen shows us the covers of TIC, MO, and Live at the Hollywood Palladium. Either include the live album and call it four, or else show the cover of CH instead of the live album. Drew I caught that too. I

It is kinda weird how it sounds like they're playing in an arena, but overall I like the mix. The band sounds great! I actually prefer the Rip this Joint from this tour. Ronnie helps to give it a punk sensibility.

When I first heard the mid 70's arrangement of GOOMC it was on LYL, and I was fascinated by how they re-worked the tune. Sure, it had kind of a Vegas flair but that was part of it's charm. It was cool how they were embracing their role as entertainers. On the 75 shows, the IYCRM/GOOMC medley is even better.

I always thought the clip from the Four Flicks Documentary was funny when they're backstage before opening night and Mick gets mad because Charlie's wearing red and he has a blue jacket on. "Oh dear...". It's such a British moment.

I can hear how it's kind of a variation of Heat Wave. Similar to how the riff To Satisfaction sounds like No Where to Run, No Where to Hide.

QuoteJordyLicks96 Quoteryanpow Just listening to this collection again and "Built That Way" is a stand out track for me. What a wonderful groove the whole band is in, would have been a great song If they finished it. Is that Chuck on Piano? "Keep It Cool" is another good one. It's kind of like Jazzy a version of Fingerprint File, and it has that New-Wavish guitar so

Keith made an interesting observation once on how Mick's singing changed once he started playing guitar more. He said his voice bounces and floats aground the melody more, like Aretha Franklin. Can't remember if it was in an interview or if it was in LIFE. I think Imagination from '81 is a good example of this.

QuoteDEmerson Quoteschwonek Also: "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" plays on "The Woman In The House.." on Netflix, Minute 10... This time no drugs but a male stripper. I Was just gonna write about that. Yeah - we just finished that series w. Kristin Bell. Worth a watch (only eight 30 minute episodes). Ending was a bit strange though, IMO. To get to the bottom of some

QuoteTheGreek Quotedcba QuoteTIRED I didn't want to make the joke but since you posted some pics... Ok let's go : I hope Keith will be airbrushed from the artwork cos in 77 he looked like a walking corpse. A casual punter might be repelled by the sight of the legendary guiartist in his "March'77" (dis)incarnation. I hear you , but what are you

I look at pre-vault live releases by the Stones as "Samplers" of their live show, not a re creation of the concert experience. If you didn't have access to bootlegs or didn't get tickets to see them, you had to use your imagination to fill in the gaps.

The sound mix on LYL is excellent. They had a lot going on around that time sound wise with Billy and Ollie in the band and it brings it all together in way that 75 boots do not (IMHO), and creates a distinct atmosphere and feeling.

For some reason, Honkey Tonk Women and You Got To Move from LYL sound so much better than any version I've heard from '75. I'm not sure if that's because they played it better, or if it's just the magic of sound mixing and editing.

QuotesanQ I hope new music stops being made such as bro country and pop music. It's so phoney and sickening to see these model types singing music with no soul or with no discernible talent, picked up and publicized by businessmen who also have no soul. There's Nothing worse than that.

I heard a great new song on the radio yesterday called "Light Switch" by Charlie Puth. I feel like in the last couple of years there's been some interesting and creative dance music coming out that has a 70's/80's influence. It's not just the typical auto tune garbage. I dig it. This song fits the style I'm describing.

There aren't big stars that bring people together like they used to, the audience is more splintered. It's not necessarily better or worse, just different.
