thank you Allie, Mike Cacia was a foundation person in the world of reggae, he basically introduced Eek A Mouse to the world back in 1983 when he was hanging out with Junjo Lawes, along with cofounding Heartbeat Records with Chris Wilson and had a long long history with amongst others, Gregory Isaacs and Dennis Brown. Produced, managed and toured Stone Love International sound system for a quarte

QuoteVoodooAllie hey jbwelda - were you on stage to snap the photo from Copenhagen you posted above? Yes I was there with Toots and the Maytals. My friend Mike was their manager and he arranged our flight over from London where I was staying and entry to the show. Thats him on right in Manu Chao T shirt. Great guy, passed away a couple years ago now. Keiths rig, Ronnie had a similar se

I saw them open for the Who at Sacramento Memorial Auditorium in probably 1969. They tried to outdo the Who with pyrotechnics and of course an endless gadda da vida. Needless to say, all was forgotten with the first Townsend chord and Moonie thump. RIP Ron Bushy, to have the balls to even attempt that earned some honors from me and my friends in attendance. If it had been anyone other than

QuoteIrix Quotejbwelda I can tell you when I last saw them in Copenhagen in 2007, it seemed like it lasted months. Couldn't have been more than 2:30 though, just seemed like more. The Rolling Stones - Copenhagen, 5-Aug-2007, 9:40pm - 11:30pm - . More Show reviews: . thank you. Was not one of their better shows if you ask me. Surprised it was under two hours, could have sworn it was

If anyone is on Facebook, go look up David Katz's account, he is sure to have some good and interesting things about Lee Perry. If not now, then no doubt soon. He knew him very well over a long period of time. jb

OK well then tell me what the average length of show was, by year, and actually how about a separate entry of the exact amount of music played excluding between tune chat and video displays and lazer lights. Then please break it down into several sort routines: by actual time played, by actual elapsed time from start to finish, you know, all those details. I can tell you when I last saw them i

RIP Scratch the madman, and thats for real. Way more famous for his productions back in the day than his own "art". Many people thought his mad man thing was an act but in talking to a lot of people who knew him first hand over a long period, there was more than an act to it. Will not say more, just let his legacy speak for itself. Rise In Power Scratch. Great footage from B

I have to go back and watch Crossfire Hurricane again. I remember really enjoying it the first time, more than most Stones history compilations. I don't see why they could not release CS Blues, its pretty tame compared to whats out there in other genres of music, or even in rock and roll. It would probably come down to Mick not wanting to sully his rep. jb

Sam Cutler: hell, Charlie was the only one who would return my phone calls! Just kidding. I cannot get over how much Charlie looked like my dad. Even back in the sixties my mom made note of that and as Charlie got older he started looking more and more like him. I can almost picture my pop in that brown suit in the door way there. jb

QuoteGazza Quotejbwelda QuoteStoneage ...Even Richards calls the Wembley show infamous on his twitter. Why does he call it infamous? jb Maybe its 'infamous' because of the urban myth perpetuated by Nick Kent that Keith punched Ronnie in the face on the second night for flubbing the intro to 'Shes So Cold'. Complete fiction. Thank you, that makes sense. That Nick

Thing is, no matter how much I want to believe this is the word he sings, the words he sings just do not match how I think this word ("shmatta")would be pronounced. Maybe I just don't have the Yiddish or whatever accent down, but sounds much more to me like he is singing nonsense like "schmacking" and not something that sounds like "whats the matta (matter)" as

I do not see how the Rolling Stones can actually fulfill their projected tour. >People who were vaxxed in March are already super vulnerable to infection. Probably not "super" vulnerable as some measure of protection remains and it probably especially manifests in way less severe symptoms in the vast majority of cases. Its not like the protection just vanishes at 6 mos plus one

Quotebleedingman Quotejbwelda and no or little rooftop concert. Kind of dear for what you get. Gonna put this one on a back burner for now. jb That's being saved for the Get Back film. which brings up another problem: the blu-ray is audio mixes...of course not the to-come film, which is what I initially thought this release was more connected to. Which makes me wonder if that is going
