The sound quality of the non-released material is pretty good, while the quality of the released material is not so good; I think it must be BBC recordings or something. I agree with including the B-sides, but there are two pretty good songs from GITD which you have left out ; Dancing In The Starlight and Too Far Gone. I would have kicked out Let's Make It Up and Joy or Hide Away. Anyway, I think GITD is actually pretty good as it is.

I find myself spinning the mid-seventies trilogy GHS-IORR-B&B a lot these days. Probably because I have played their earlier stuff so much. In my opinion GHS is very good though slightly below the big 4. Definitely a top 10, as is also The Rolling Stones and Aftermath (plus 3 more obviously).

Ride On Baby and Sittin' On A Fence were two songs the Stones gave away to Immediate artists without releasing them themselves (until much later). Ride On Baby was first released by Chris Farlowe, produced by Mick Jagger. It was the follow-up to the no. 1 single Out Of Time, but was not a big hit. It is a personal favourite of mine. Great song! Should have been a hit.

I really like it. Could easily have been on an album. Calling it an 'outtake' is just plain wrong. It's an officially released song, clearly considered a finished product by the band.
