Do they have some issue with the promoter in New Orleans? I can't imagine why they haven't played there in 12 years, considering what huge crowds they've played for there in the past.

Has anyone heard Ronnie Spector's duet w/Keith on her new disk THE LAST OF THE ROCK STARS? From one review: Ronnie and Keith do campy lover's chit-chat on Ike Turner's "Work Out Fine" ("You do the work, baby!" Keith hams).

Nice list but it omits BRIDGES TO BABYLON and WANDERING SPIRIT. I'm also fairly certain he did not play on BLOOD ON THE TRACKS; I think he's being confused with bass played Billy Peterson.

From perhaps my favorite song he played on: Angels beating all their wings in time Smiles on their faces & a tear right in their eyes Thought I heard one sigh for you Come on up now, come on up now, come on up now... May the good Lord shine a light on you, Make every song you sing your favorite tune. May the good Lord shine a light on you, Warm like the evening sun

Anyone know who the woman was, or where it was taken? I like the characterizations (e.g., Keith the gangster, Bill the cop).

Surely Granada's "Stones In The Park" precedes this? Maybe not in airing date (but certainly in filming).

>Go to Smokey's link and READ... I did and I didn't see anything remotely resembling an "official" line from any Stones "mouthpiece". Does Keith still answer questions on his website? I sent him a question regarding Taylor's non-appearance that night but never went back to see if he replied.

Well, when they're actually given something to *do* they perk up. Consider "She Was Hot".

>Glam - Do some better research, the Stones were asked why Taylor didn't play that night and their "Mouthpiece" whoever that was at the time give that lame excuse: he didn't show up for the soundcheck... Provide some evidence then. And do you have one of these setlists that has "Rock Me Baby" "erased" from it? I saw one right after the sh

>That was the Stones "official" line of Bull as to why Taylor didn't actually get to play. There never was any "official" line from the Stones as to what happened. However the stage set list did have "Rock Me Baby" listed so the Stones certainly had intentions of playing with him.

Regarding the Bowie song, I always heard it as "Charlie on my back" -- Charlie is slang for a police car. Bowie was very paranoid about being followed in those days (see the film "Cracked Actor"). However, Charlie is also British slang for cocaine according to this site:

>On the Licks tour, there were a couple of arena gigs in oct 2002 (Florida and Atlanta I think) where they just went straight back to the main stage after the b-stage set and played one more No arena show in Atlanta in 2002. They played Turner Field and did several songs after the b-stage. Speaking of encores, it was "Midnight Rambler" that night!
