>Atlanta has become a classic stop now on every Stones tour.
They skipped Atlanta on the No Security tour fyi. I'd still love to see it happen but I don't take it as a given. Forum: Tell Me
>I listened to the entire piece of crap on the internet.
I don't believe this for even a moment. You've expressed repeatedly your disdain for Dylan in the past, so why would you actually sit through the "entire" album? And if you actually did... why did you bother? Don't you have anything better to do with your time?
I don't be*lieve* you. Forum: Tell Me
>How do you judge an album? There are only two ways. By the critics and by the public.
I judge an album by *my* opinion. Sales are only an indication of popularity, not quality.
There is much tremendous music that was never embraced by the charts (granted the critics are a better guide for you here over the long run).

>As a musical force he disappeared. He may have toured but like I said only one of his studio ablums even broke the top twenty on the album charts and none of them sold well and few were reviewed well.
So your criteria for "musical force" = "top twenty on the album charts"?

This thread makes me feel lucky: I only saw 3 ABB concerts (so far) but got 5 different Keith songs: "Infamy", "The Worst", "Slipping Away", "This Place Is Empty" & "Happy".
I do wish he'd play "Coming Down Again" & "Sleep Tonight" though. Forum: Tell Me
>But even if they are let's not forget Dylan basically "disappeared" for nearly twenty years unlike the Stones.
Can you define what 20 years you're talking about here? Forum: Tell Me
Just want to second what others have said re: the remix of STREET-LEGAL which came out in the late '90s is essential if you want to give the album a fair shake, which it does deserve. Forum: Tell Me
I saw Dylan perform this back in '96 -- I was stunned. He only played it a few times in '76 and then didn't play it again until '96 so it was a complete surprise. Great performance as well I might add. Forum: Tell Me
>The Best Buy thing is Rollin' & Tumblin from the cd and 2 tracks from Love & Theft.
Close but no cigar. In addition to the new song R&T it has one song from LOVE & THEFT ("High Water") and one from TIME OUT OF MIND ("Not Dark Yet"). "High Water" is a new edit. Forum: Tell Me
Thanks for the clips NICOS! I presume she'll be playing tunes from her last album BEFORE THE POISON. If you haven't heard it, check it out; most of the songs were co-written with Nick Cave and PJ Harvey. Forum: Tell Me

Nice list, monkeylad. I'll add:
Have You Seen Your Mother, Baby, Standing In The Shadow?
Hang Fire
And Keith should try some new tunes, particularly:
Coming Down Again

I hear there's a new recording of the June 4, 1984 Rotterdam Bob Dylan show up at dime. It's said to be significantly improved over previous circulating versions. Forum: Tell Me
>Simply saying people's posts are boring is kind of weak.
And yet all your initial post consisted of was the word "boring". Follow your own advice.
Have you been to a Marianne concert and found it boring? Then say so already. Forum: Tell Me
>If it's boring, don't bother reading it
Exactly my point! Why open a thread about Marianne if you find it "boring"? I found it interesting which is why I opened it, not to read your useless resopnse. HTH Forum: Tell Me
>I've never known Mick's voice to suddenly go bad like that and cancel 2 (or more?) shows because of it.
Then you haven't been paying attention. Same thing happened in '03 when the second Amsterdam & first London shows had to be cancelled. Forum: Tell Me
UNPLUGGED is from '94 (and HARD TO HANDLE is '86). DONT LOOK BACK is not a performance film per se but does have some nice concert footage and is a must-see. Also worthwhile: THE CONCERT FOR BANGLA DESH and THE LAST WALTZ.
HARD RAIN deserves an official release.
And there's some great performance footage in MASKED & ANONYMOUS as well (though not in a concert format). Forum: Tell Me
>Do they still have the keyboard player with the healthy lungs?
Yes, Zia McCabe. She wore a Stones '81 tour shirt on the artwork for THE DANDY WARHOLS COME DOWN cd.
The Dandys feature in one of the best documentaries ever made about rock bands, DIG! Hilarious & harrowing. Forum: Tell Me
I rewatched the dvd and have to correct my earlier recount. Syl is practicing "Take A Good Look At My Good Looks" when Johansen & co. walks in. His female companion says "Beast Of Burden" and Johansen tell Syl to "De-Stonesify" it. A discussion ensues and Syl acquiesces to Jo's suggestions but in the end tells him he can "make it more Stonesy" i Forum: Tell Me
