Ronnie used to be so energetic, almost jumping when striking the chords, posing like a maniac. -Not much of that now. He has become more workmanlike as Keiths partner. They`re both making a drone- like sound when heard from clips.

-Hmm, sounds like an interesting "local" twist. -However, a bit dark (the nazi uniform and the six years old drug mule).

-Couldn`t hear the organ in the "You`ve Got The Silver" youtube clip. I mean where the organ makes the song take off, sort of.

100. Come On
Their first single, from 1963. Could they pull it off? Is Keef able to move his fingers fast enough?

Rocks Off. It`s an Exile song. That song has an undeniable 70s vibe. A bit bland, imo, like he`s just reading the phone book.

QuoteMabru Sorry if I spoiled the party but I thought it was ok because it was already posted on some social media accounts and the painted version was also posted here earlier. -Already posted on some social media accounts and you posted it here? Why make it worse? It was a matter of not knowing. Besides, no painted setlist on this thread (-earlier).

Why don`t The Stones vary their setlist like Springsteen or Dylan? -Because they are The Stones! Seeing The Stones is like going to a zoo. People want value for money. The act is so big. It`s just another league. Playing a lot of rarities would make them another band. "Did you get to see The Stones? -Oh, lucky you, -just before they retire!" The choice of songs must have been thourou

Quotekeefriffhards For the first time Mick actually showed his age, did anyone else see that heavy breathing between songs, what a relief, he is human after all bless him. Tell you what, Mick out of breath is still magnificent, i actually think he was faking the heavy breathing. That man can't get old, he really can't because if Mick gets old we lose our dreams. Love you Mick, keep o

There must have been excellent alternatives to the punk songs from Some Girls among all the albums from the comeback era, albums like Steel Wheels, Voodoo Lounge, Bridges To Babylon and A Bigger Bang.

QuoteDan Quoteslewan as I already mentioned yesterday: I fear that I don't have tickets for enough shows to hear all those great songs they are rehearsing… I fear they won't play most of the songs they are rehearsing Naivety belongs to the excitement of the moment. I am quite gloomy when it comes to chances of hearing "Out Of Time" at this tour. There is not even a snippet

Quotehockenheim95 Quotenoughties I had expected to read reports from the rehearsals. Who should write a report when they're rehearsing in a big complex where you can't hear anything outside? Thank you. That figures. It comes to mind.

Quotetreaclefingers Quotedaspyknows Great read but I chuckle at the wait til next year. Time to close the 2022 thread and start a 2023 thread. I wonder when they 'say it' year in and year out, whether they actually believe it themselves, or are thinking they're just "throwing us a frickin' bone"? I just think it would be interesting to know whether they ACTUALL

Sure Ronnie too is a freak of nature. I didn`t think there were anybody like them. Here`s a 83 year old winning an athletic run last weekend. He won `cause he was the only candidate in his leage. He`s even sporting long hair (-but of course). It`s unbelievable:

-Never got anything against "Get Yer Ya-Ya`s Out, but originally it was an album to me that stuck out visually in the record shop windows. What kind of album was that? -Never bothered to check it out. It obviously was an album for the babyboomers. Today it could be said to be of it`s time. Anyway, rock got harder after the psychedelia of `67. A resurrected Rolling Stones, The Doors shook

QuoteRisingStone Roxy Music - Avalon Atypical RM album for non-fans in a good way. Yeah, RM for people who don`t like RM. If you want more of the same, where to go? I would suggest soft soul music of a certain complexity, produced by Jerry Wexler, Tom Dowd and Arif Mardin at Muscle Shoals Sound Studios, Alabama.

I was happy with Bruce`s "The River". Then came "Born in The USA". How could he top the previous one? We got "Dancing in The Dark". -Hmm, a tad muted to be a hit single, plus "Bobbie Gene", huh? It sounded like a leftover from "The River". We`ve already had that sort of stuff. I remember buying Pink Floyd`s "Wish You Were Here" when i

There will always be people who have caught up something others never have heard of. I know I have an uncovered area made up of bands like Traffic and Family. I have an idea of what they are about. I guess it`s blues rock in the vein of Cream and Blind Faith. You could do no wrong listening to that kind of music in those days. Posthumously, I`ve checked out bands like Ten Years After and Wishbone

-Oooooh, often thought about it. It would have to be "Rumours" by Fleetwood Mac. "Thriller" by Michael Jackson too is a good contender. I have often thought all albums should be like that. At the other end of that scale there are some of Madonna`s albums, like "True Blue" and "Like A Prayer". -Just a couple of hits and the rest fillers. -Now, back to our
