2018 makes sense- you have Mick and Keith 75 then, but we lots of people still going strong at 74.They should continue, they sound great.

I think everyone has good points- on one hand it does add up with travel costs etc,, risk of cancellation. However, if you were to say- I am going to spend $X but it is the only time I can see them then go for it. However, I found that instead of spending $850 for transportation to either Buffalo or Pittsburgh- I could see 6 or 7 other shows-some even artists I have nto seen as much. Always a t

I went to see Barry Manilow last night - 94 minutes with a 20 minute medley of around 15 songs. Concert was easy to get to via public transportation- also Taylor Swift was next door at the linc so it wasn't like driving to the middle of nowheere and having to rent a car Maybe the Stones should like do a medley like Genesis does. Maybe like Love Is Strong/One Hit To theBody/Monkey Man/C

Glad I purchased a new router and modem today- I think at some point 4k streaming will be very common; this is a good sign that they would move to 4k

QuoteBILLPERKS Awesome show last nite, great set list, packed house. Other than Pete saying something stupid about Moonie, a perfect nite, specially at $50. I agree- he defintely put his foot in his mouth. Why does he have to say anything at all? I found it somewhat disrespectfull, but enjoyed the show quite a bit.

I went to the show in Atlantic City as well. I felt as though judging from the crowd on the boardwalk/arena/city during the day that this was a well traveled show and many people I spoke to had seen another show during the week as well. They added Slip Kid as well. In general, it seemed to be less casual fans than Philadelphia, but then again it was a Friday vs Sunday as well. I am looking for

OT: Just back from the Who. They were pretty good. Occassionally Roger wore a little but he is fantastic and I doubt any other 71 year old could do what he does. Pete is a genious and the group as a whole is wonderful. Disclaimer: I don't love them as much as the Stones, but it is easier for me seeing them 3 times this year than seeing the stones once. It was a great show but nothing l

Quotealieb ^ this is all very detailed! are you speaking based on insider knowledge? I would hope that they come to London, because I'll be living in England for the first half of 2016. would be a dream come true to see them in their hometown. I have no knowledge whatsoever but am purely speculating on where they would hit next. I am convinced they still need to go back to MSG as they

Its going to be the Sweet Sixteen tour- 16 arenas back in major markets. No longer hitchiking, cabs, rodent inns etc.... all for 2016. Look for dates in Philadelphia of course, MSG again finally as well a Fleet Center in Boston, Air Canada Toronto and a return to Baltimore. Those are 9 of the dates. The other 7 will be Staples Center 2x, MGM 2x, Chicago 2x, and Houston. Quite similar

Seems to be less complaints on the Who turns 50 thread. How many more Who shows are you attending? 3 for me.

It kind of reminds me of the "sacrifices" one has to make to attend the show; i.e. 1989 I won tickets took the train, 1994 drove to giants stadium 1997: got ride to Philly, got ride to Giants Stadium 1998, stayed at Hotel Penn.. Then you get to higher ticket prices, days off from work, travel costs. After awhile it does indeed become a "one sided relationship". There has to

QuoteDoxa But I have been always a fan of BV's metaphories and analogies. But even those tell something how the things have changed... There was a time when the question of going to a Rolling Stones concert was that of choosing it over a dozen or so beers at pub. Now the choice is over one's family holiday at Bhuket/Canarias/Hawaii... - Doxa Excellent point Doxa and very true as we

QuoteUGot2Rollme really like reading the comments people! Instead of going to Pittsburgh, I'll be seeing Van Morrison with Taj Mahal in NYC the night before. Of course I would see the Stones if they were playing in the area, but just had to justify to myself why it wasn't worth the 5 hour drive +$1,000 expense to go to Pitt.. Same with me- instead of Pitt doing a play in NYC followe

Too much effort. Likely going to see Penn and Teller in NYC that day and then Mickey Dolenz at night. Not that Stones, but easier for me.

Probably 0, Buffalo would be closest as I have a play and Billy Joel in NYC the Pittsburgh night, but I hope everyone has a great time at the shows!

I am still considering coming from SJ and maybe doing Friday to Sunday via the following: Drive to NJ Transit Hamilton Station and fly to Buffalo from Newark. Now- is there anyway I can do this without a rental car to venue? i.e. I saw there was a site called rallybus that has bus service for events. Is it likely or does it exist that anyone else does this for Bills games? In terms o

Quotewindmelody The samples on Sympathy from 1989 onwards totally ruin the song. Apart from the b-stage walk I do not know on which song backing tracks are used. Certainly on 2000 Lightyears, but the 2013 version was lightyears bettet than the one from 1989/90. It seeems they are EQ'ed a little higher in frequency vs. subsequent years. Nowadays you hear the samples mixed better with the li

While waiting for Buffalo to go on sale, what shows have other people purchased?Ithink so far I purchased Madonna and Shania Twain. Outside from us here, is it possible they will lose out to the casual fan who has committed summer budget to country acts, ampitheatre shows etc.....

I agree with your post Indystones- around $175-$200 is a comfortable level. Also, being there another day you can do other stuff as well. Although I prefer my $10 Philly/AC total transportation cost-shows, I do go to DC/Bal/NY. However, I think $800 for Buffalo could be out of reach for me, but 2013 the costs were $800 for many people- It is fair this time as now others get a chance.

Work in accounting/finance doing excel, numbers. At night at manage 7 computer baseball teams at a time: the 2005-2011 Philadelphia Phillies. Play the piano, write songs, independent films on weekends. Sometimes I go to non stones shows like Billy Joel and Fleetwood Mac. I usually refresh the page at lunch on my phone

Quotebabyblue [email protected] Just on the basis of this thread alone, I am now likely going to Buffalo. I might even drive my own car and take breaks every 3 hours. This is importnant. You never know, this could be the final U.S. gig. Does Greyhound have transportation to stadium? I looked and they only go to downtown Buffalo from what I seem to read.
