QuoteGasLightStreet Quotemicha063 QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteTransmaniaconMC I wonder why the European Leg of the Urban Jungle Tour is somewhat neglected. it was the last tour with Bill and differs from the Steel Wheels Tour. I would love to hear Torino or London shows. The tour had a different name and different stage but it was still the STEEL WHEELS tour. They dropped UOTN but still played the

No guests please. Dave Matthews et al ruin every live track. Witness poor Memory Motel. If this is the last time, I only want the Stones and their traditional side men.

Didn’t Keith’s book come out during that period also? That may have contributed to any inertia.

I was there on the 13th. Not a Mayer fan either. He did not sing, but he really kicked ass on Respectable. I was impressed!

I also loved the Fully Finished Studio Outtakes from Bridges, 20 Nil, Prairie Love, and Dream About. As I have said before, this one needs a Super Deluxe box!!!

Quote24FPS QuoteElmo Lewis I don't know if it's the small room or what, but the El Mocambo stuff sounds great. Vegas Stones started with Steel Wheels tour. I say earlier. I remember people weren't real enamored of that '81 tour. It seemed a little too slick, a little too good timey rock and roll. Still Life is one of their most half assed live recordings. 1981 w

I thought the guitars were incredibly distinct.

It was a bootleg but was a soundboard of whatever they showed on the BBC. Outstanding sound and way better show than the NY release earlier this summer. There is a boot DVD of it also. What I really liked was the wide stereo! Guitars were so distinct

I just bought this the other day along with a DVD of the show that apparently was shown on the BBC. Incredible show with super wide stereo. It is missing several songs but I’m surprised no one has raved about it yet. Or maybe I missed it. Coincidently I was at that show and sat in the loge with all the celebrities!

Fully finished studio outtakes showed that the bridges to Babylon material was super good! It deserves a deluxe release. Let’s hear what those songs sounded like before they were Tinkered with by those young producers!

Love the performance. But why oh why the horrible echo/ reverb? There was absolutely nothing wrong with the sound of Side 3 of Love You Live. The uniqueness of the whole thing was a club setting. Now it just sounds like another arena show. The Elvis FTD label is run by former fans. That is what these vault releases need. A fan/collector/expert tempering Mick’s instincts. As much as you all love i

Re-listening to the El Mocambo acetate, it sounds like all the tracks there are from the March 5 show and not the March 4 show as many previously believed. Am I mistaken?

QuoteCooltoplady QuoteMathijs Quotestanlove Still Life sucked and the 1981 tour was a disaster. There is a reason they never toured without backups again. Even the astilbes knew they were not very good in 1981. What a total load of bollocks. Mathijs It was awful. Worst tour ever for The Stones. Garbage 80's releases. It was an embarrassing drug infused mess. I went to 3 shows. What
